Game of Alts - Multiboxing Explained

I just wish CCP would create NPCs that would replace the CCP

I prefer gankers over NPCs to provide the danger in hi sec.

Sounds like something a psychopath griefer would say.

High-sec should be a risk-free area where new players can practice making 300 million ISK per hour in complete safety before they can move to null-sec to make 300 million ISK per hour in complete safety for real.

I was obviously doing something wrong when I was in Null.

You had better not go over those four Alts or Iā€™ll have my ganking friends show you whoā€™s boss

I too only have 4 accounts now. Such a relief!

I just created a third alt on my account. I have one more to go to my self imposed limit.

Bunch of basement-dwelling sociopaths who should be in prison anyway.

and thatā€™s four accounts so 12 characters of course. o7

LOL!
Actually, one lives in his dadā€™s attic, another is in a shelter for homeless men, a third rents space in a garage and the last one is already in prison for publishing government secrets.
Me? I live alone.

:scream: OH lord! Itā€™s not a life you need to get, itā€™s a whole new existence!

Dang. I hope things improve for that guy, then. Garage man also. Times are a bit rough these days.

Welp, guess I donā€™t have to worry about him then, eh? Unless maybe itā€™s a prison in Denmark or other Scandanavia - then they probably have full internetā€¦

As long as they get to play EVE Online theyā€™re happy.

Iā€™m not at liberty to discuss. Appeal pending.

I have 3 omegas (and a bunch of alphas), but I am about to acquire the fourth omega. Man, just got lucky that I donā€™t have 5 too.

Oh No, YOU can have as many as many as you want, my friend, because you are evil :kissing_heart::hugs:

Sometimes itā€™s fun to make a new character if only to create another portrait.

I play multiple accounts all day every day. It would be very hard to have a sustainable production line if I couldnā€™t gather resources like I do.
Also, when I played wow, there was a well known horde multiboxer that went into bgs and had 8 or 9 mages.
He wrecked the alliance every time. I forget his full name, but I do remember it had turtle in it.

I use multiboxing to learn stuff like fleet mechanics, and because I absolutely love making new characters. CCP is making a killing off of me because I love the character editor (which in my opinion needs a huge update).
Some things I have noticed just using two characters at the same time in a fleet:
Itā€™s not easy.
It can be exhausting.
Itā€™s a hell of a lot of fun.
Running a site full of rats with one warship and one logistics ship is an absolute blast, but is intensely difficult, for me doing PvP like this would mean getting killed twice instead of once.

In general:
Traveling is much harder, you have to warp fleet, make sure all of your characters actually warp, and make sure they are all set for the next jump.
Having other software running makes it even harder, trying to warp your web browser fails instantly.
If you have your camera set up right, landing on grid looks awesome!
Flying in formation is very very challenging but also looks awesome if you pull it off.
Having conversations with yourself in local while in wormhole space is hilarious.
Having a conversation with someone else while flipping from window to window can drive them nuts especially if they donā€™t know that everyone who keeps finishing each otherā€™s ideas is all one person.
Knowing who someone else is actually talking to can drive you nuts.
But wait, thereā€™s more!

Anyhow, for me to actually play more than one of me increases the difficulty by a gigantic amount unless Iā€™m doing something totally passive and can take my time. That seems to rarely be the case.

Iā€™m with you on that, I friggin love it.

Me too, I trained Getting Dead to V when I moved to Nullsec.

A 30 second video of action on a screen is the proof that a multi-boxer never cheats by using input broadcasting or botting?

I think the burden of proof is far too low.

As for my opinion on multi-boxing, its BS but its inescapable BS as far as I can see. People are going to do it, and the only way to counter them, for many people, is going to be to fight fire with fire.

Why is it BS? Because some people just simply cannot afford to do it. Mostly that means your effectiveness is dicated by crawling out of the correct female who is married to the correct male and waiting some years. That is very far from a level playing field. And by use of the inequity even more inequity is created through the advantaged game play itself. ( I suppose throwing your life away is another way to become a super multiboxer despite being born disadvantaged.)

But all this might seem to fly in the face of my feeling that nothing can be done about it. Fact is I hate it, but I have accepted that its not going away. From there I have tried to make sure my game play avoids having to deal with that garbage as much as I can while still being able to play in a way I enjoy.

You are being just a little dishonest.

The video is proof that it can be done without input broadcasting.

Youā€™re right about the burden of proof though. Someone should provide a 35 second video of him input broadcasting before they call him a cheater.
