No mate, this never happened.
Long before 2010 when there was no warp to zero, players bookmarked 15km beyond gates from every possible approach to create their own ‘warp to zero’. Those bookmarks stayed in place.

Why did the bookmarks keep getting replaced/remade and resold?
When you can answer that let me know. Iv been here since eve had no capitals, and when explosions blue up ships that got to close. You on the other hand came long after. People use to make billions off selling these bookmarks (and in those days that was a lot, the equiv of 10b per person today).
You have no idea what you are talking about.
People sold and shared bookmarks, because eve has always had a steady stream of new players.
The bookmarks did not need to be remade unless CCP deliberately nuked them for breaking the server.
It wasn’t because things “moved”, if that’s what you’re trying to imply.
