I would like to share my thoughts about small UI setting is needed since beginning of the game but still not implemented:
New feature is called - Missile Counter.
Would be very useful for PVE.
Should come as additional checkbox in the UI settings - ON/OFF.
How it shoul work:
Quantity of the salvo of missile launchers, located on the picture of NPCs are targeted.
Will help players in PVE especially with long range missiles e,g. heavy of cruise.
This allows not to count in mind. Will allow to spread attention to another things - chat, local, targeting, drones, other ship management.
What do you think about it?
Since you specifically mentioned PvE and Cruise missiles, I’m going to assume you’re a Raven/Golem mission runner and are experienced enough that you already know exactly how many volleys it takes to clear everything you encounter. What you want CCP to do is give you an increasing counter so you can turn your launchers off and not waste ammo because the last volley fired took out the target just as your launchers cycled and launched the next.
Then why can’t you use the decreasing counter already provided on the HUD?
Your launcher holds 40 missiles, if it takes 3 volleys to clear a battlecruiser, can you not simply turn your launchers off when your ammo count hits 37? Then can you not also turn them off on the second battlecruiser when the ammo count reaches 34?
Not actually mission runner at all but it doesnt matter.
I have poor eyesight so on my 2k screen missile counter is to small and I dont see 2nd digit ![]()
I only can imagine how is to small everything in 4k even with upscaled UI.
Also you anyway need to spread attention between launchers and NPCs - sight goes up and down on the screen every time in my case. This is like by default for the most players.
Will be more convenient to have all in the one side of the screen.
You’d probably get more support for a change in font size to the ammo counter than trying to get a redundant counter. The redundant counter is probably going to be the same font size anyway.
At that point, switch to turrets.
As I said, you have a decreasing counter already.
But it is very inconvenient
