Now they are not flashy all the time because of new tether rules so they buy tags , it’s still works but your security hit and kill right list can be high , before I’ve stopped a 20 ship Talos gank with no hit on security
It’s probably made kill rights more of value as they hover around gates more
No not that , was talking about setting of e-war burst in high sec
I saw tags as a major buff to ganking, when I was in Stain, some of the members of our community were pirates who were grinding security status back up. The consequences of ganking were watered down by being able to buy tags.
If you look at this in terms of a game balance you have to see that decision was being based on them allowing such an uncontrolled increase in indy and mining with the Rorqual etc, and having to increase destruction to balance that. But that change ended up hurting newer weaker and solo players who got blapped by that type of ganker the most. It is the only reason I can think of for making that change when they did, but all they did was screw newer players and the ones over doing the indy were not really affected.
CCP unbalancing the game with every decision they make…
If you are having trouble with the security status loss, perhaps try working on your target selection - go for more valuable targets, like freighters, instead of empty pods and t1 Catalysts. EvE is a game of choices, and if you make bad choices, you must expect bad results. Good luck capsuleer!
Burst Jammers are an AoE Weapon system, it follows the general design pattern of EVE that these are restricted in HighSec. I mean, you can still activate them, but just like a Smartbomb, you will get CONCORDed if you have anyone in range that isn’t a legal target. Tbh they shouldn’t have been allowed in HS right from the start of their implementation and the change was just a fix of that oversight.
And tags… well, just buy them off the market or send your own farming quads into the 0.1sec systems to farm the Clone Soldiers yourself (but not sell the tags, just store them away to increase the price!). The only thing you would need to do for that is gather an active group of like 1-2 dozen people and actually do something together. Isn’t that hard but unfortunately the “Antiganking” department completely lacks organization, leadership and determination.
I worked on trying to create a mostly replica bounty hunting system. It was a ton of development time and effort. I can count on one hand the number of people who reached out to me wanting bounties to return. They offered a lot of great advice for how to improve it, which was also a further mountain of work. I’m still debating whether to keep it going or return everyone’s ISK and shutter the thing. Likely the latter.
Opportunities will replace them, mostly, the way things are going. Not a bad thing, just different.
It was fun for you to make a statement like that, however the ending of neutral RR was what destroyed organised AG. All the old guard left the game because organised fleet play was wiped out and that was what they enjoyed. What you are telling the few AG players left is that you have to do PvE to fight gankers, I am not sure that will get a lot of takers…
I think the real problem is that most people haven’t heard of it. Plus, given the fact that bounties are not that common anyway, those who have heard of it will have forgotten about it.
He doesn’t “have the balls” to fight anyone. He’s deathly afraid of doing anything that would result in a possible loss mail on his kill board for which others could mock and ridicule him. That’s his perception, at the very least; in reality, no one actually cares about something like that. Unless it’s some kind of terrible meme fit loss, but I’m sure he’s at least competent enough to pull something from a PvP fitting guide online if he were willing to engage in genuine conflict. But you can glean his psychology on the matter by his own actions, for example in the way that he pulls other players’ losses and tries to use them as a foil to make fun of those players. It’s a textbook case of self-projection; he’s trying to attack other players by doing things that he perceives as the biggest threat if someone else were to do it to him.
It’s many problems. This is definitely one major part, but third party devs cannot modify the client to display the „Wanted“ amount. Only CCP can. That was free advertising and great for immersion.
All I’m saying is that I don’t see players with actual, respectable combat histories and other accomplishments going around constantly bragging about how elite they are. They don’t need to.
But then you have someone like Dracvlad mentioning something about “making the entire enemy fleet dock up” or being “smart, cold and calculating” every second post, or Epeen talking about how he used to be an elite PvP mercenary or bragging about his “wealth,” or really any gank-whining alt of the week claiming they used to be one of the biggest gankers in the game until they stopped because “ganking isn’t fair to the victim” etc etc. It’s kind of obvious what’s going on here.
