This is so true, great post.
Exactly.

I feel a need to re-post this. Not everybody seems to grasp what I wrote.
Lmao
The salt because you can’t figure out how to prevent ganks is glorious
Also 5 edits, feels like you still don’t know what to type even after you’ve pressed reply
/oof
So in order not to have this thread closed by certain individuals whod rather argue than discuss, can we return to the actual subject? Is ganking a right or a priviledge?
It has been put forward by some that perhaps the rights of those who gank should be curtailed further than they already areby CrimeWatch.
In most cases the purpose would be to reduce, retard or prevent them from accessing the materials and means to gank.
It would, in essence replace the right to gank with a removable priviledge, therefore its clear that unless there is a specific third condition that hasnt been highlighted, its the former, with those opposed to it as a form of conflict seeing it as the latter.

Hey
So am I
My name isn’t Salvos
sweet pea
Whether it is a right, a privilege, or emergent behaviour would depend on whether CCP initially intended for people to engage in combat those who were unwilling to participate in player combat.
Indeed it is.
Anyone can fly in the AT lmao
It doesn’t make any player any better than others
Just an FYI, spamming the flag button wI’ll anger the Forum gods
Back on topic, ganking is a right
Hauling, mining, missioning are all privileges under the New Halaima Code of Conduct
Too bad there has never been any for you
I’m not replying to someone who thinks I’m someone else either #plebsgoncry

It would!
Now… I’m pretty sure there is also documentary evidence that would support that.
The next question that comes to mind (in order to stop the thread being a moot point) is that should there be limitations to this?
Ill no longer call it a right or priviledge as emergent behaviour is a better description, though does this mean that limitations based on playstyle (solo, small gang etc) can be placed on it?
If emergent, is it no longer a player’s right to be able to choose it?
Ganking is emergent gameplay, just like bumping is, just like bumping was, and like living in wormholes is.
None of it was planned by CCP obviously, but players made their own playstyles in the sandbox.
Mechanics were changed towards most, but people still do them (rip hyperdunking) despite all the people crying and complaining (see above for prime example)
The way I’d answer what I wrote would be to point out that CCP does not prevent anyone from taking aggressive action against any other player. Thus, I’d say ganking is an intended playstyle.
Scram and web bumper… and web your freighter at the same time – probably could do all that with heron… stop complaining about problems and start looking for solution to it instead…
It is truly amazing how many lame excuses anti-gankers come up with for why they fail.
It’s never their fault, the whole game, system and world is against them and it’s all unfair.
I find this just contemptibly pathetic.
So, by your own words, you can’t beat people that are better at EVE than you
That’s so sad
