Garry's Great Abyssal Guide: solved ships & fits to run L5 abyssal sites!

This is a very helpfull answer.

Correct. This is why I mostly don’t do them. Even T4s can have almost as bad spawns. I had one the otehr day, forgot what it was exactly, should have taken a screenshot, but it was something like 5 Starving Leshaks + 3 Starving Vedmaks, I forgot the exact comp but it was full starving Leshaks + cap draining cruisers spawn.

I made it through the pocket, but literally with about 20% hull left. The only thing that saved me is that I was in Electrical, if it was any other filament type I’d have been a gone for 100%.

If CCP just cut out these extreme of the extreme death spawns, and just kept the rest of the variations, the whole Abyss would have been in a much better shape. More people would run it, there would be more Trig stuff on market and more available hence better economy and better rewards from doing it etc.

I suppose if you want to handicap yourself to only flying a T1 ship and a missile ship you shouldn’t expect great odds. I fly a Vagabond in Electrical T5s with a 100% success rate (including the overestimated deathspawn) and a Deimos in Exotic T5s with the same survival record.

Why set limits on yourself? Of all the ships in the game you limit yourself because why?

Yes, but you are very special. Don’t get me wrong, there are some people like you, there is a video of a guy doing T5s in a polarized phantasm too without any implants, any boosters, and only T2 / T1 modules, nothing else.

Also, I have done Vaga and Munnin when we were all doing it back on Sisi, it is doable but …

its kinda like driving a car without power steering or power breaks, you can do it but …

If you know how to fly you can do it just fine in a T2 fit Vagabond. (faction battery)

been there done that. thanks but no thanks. not double, but triple this due to market tanking on all the abyss stuff since the event ended and taking income with it. its time to quit abyss again.

last time i ran 4s and 5s for a week straight i ended up with maybe 3-4 unstable and 3-4 gravid mutaplasmids and only 1 of them sold for over 100 mil, the only books that sell for good prices i got 2, exactly 2, the rest is crap and a waste of time. and dont even get me started on blueprints for anything other then leshak or vedmak. i literally trashed a whole crapload because they’re not even worth the minimal contract prices.

research on the above mentioned blueprints is pointless and minimal returns and hard to sell, they don’t move fast enough. weapons building (precursor turrets) T1 (which is required for T2 construction) is actually a gigantic loss, just the condensates and isotopes alone are worth way more then teh weapons and thats not even counting the regular stuff at all.

t2 weapons are extremely hard to sell, they don’t move fast enough and because they require the t1 they are also a loss for the most part with the exception being when someone buys a whole bunch of the large ones (for leshaks) which is too rare.

all in all, completely not worth it. doing abyss is a gross ISK loss due to the time invested in it vs. other sources of income.

WTF?

LOL you seem to have latched onto me like some toddler. Well its cool, if it makes you feel special and unique go for it. Who am I to deny ?

Scroll up and look who latched on to who.
It’s okay Mr. Toddler.

can those 220 deal with orbiting frigs on their own(no tower/drugs/manual piloting)?

Yeah. Manual piloting is required for taking on battleships though. Flying straight at them will land you in a fresh clone. 9 out of 10 times I just fly straight to the cache then the gate unless there is a battleship.

Good to know they can do that got few vaga hulls as gift from departing player might as well put at least one to use in abyssal space was gonna focus it around web but il do some 3’s in fit similar to yours to see how it handle small stuff.

Use that exact fit. Can’t beat the price and it is neut immune in electrical sites.

If you want to bling keep the fit the same just use better mods.

M8, Sacrilege is T2 ship…

“the overestimated deathspawn” what enemies do you get in this spawn ? If it is this spawn “5 Starving Leshaks + 3 Starving Vedmaks”, then honestly I don’t understand, how can you survive this whis close range guns / missiles.

There is no such spawn. Leshaks and Vedmaks don’t spawn together.

what is the worst spawn you encountered in T5 ?

Several Renewing Leshaks and 2 watchmen.
Took the whole 6 minutes to kill them.
Several Starving Leshaks don’t bother me.

Leshaks and Vedmaks still don’t spawn together like you and @Fluffy_Moe said.

Want to share my experience about the worst spawn. About 15 +/- neuting cruisers (dissipators + scylla). Why I didn’t die, just luck. No ab, running on 1 armor rep from time to time (managed to activate it few time), no cap at all. Done in a sacriliege.

I have max skills + I was using boosters and implants. Without boosters and max skills I would definitely lose a ship and a pod.

Tighten it before you go in next time. You won’t have to worry about things being loose.

Guys and girls, anyone tried to run “firestorms” in a Sacrilege ? Done about 100 T5 darks in it, a bit tired.
