High sec Winter Nexus forward base site

Hi Guys …can anyone answer me this pls:

I was in high Sec Gallante space ( Wysalan 0.8) carrying out a Winter Nexus sight ( Winter Storm forward base) completed the site loaded the loot from the final NPC (thinking I was safe ) when I was attacked by another player … thinking I would just sit tight & not agress the attacking player, & just wait for the Concord police to turn up …but they didn’t …consequently I was killed… but no kill mail showed up ??? can anyone explain this please (PS I had no killmarks on me at the time)

best regards jj

They killed you by using an expensive Rattlesnake, got your pod too and also killed others in a Rattlesnake past few days.

I think it’s safe to conclude this was not a criminal attack.

I do not know how they made it a legitimate attack, but there are various ways to do so. Kill rights, active war, suspect baiting or maybe even an event mechanic that turns people suspect that I am unaware of, as I haven’t done the event in HS yet.

Maybe looting the final NPC can make you suspect?

Maybe someone else knows.

Next time try with safeties green, see if you can loot.

Thanks for the info Gerard …very much appreciated

My best guess is you didn’t notice that the wreck was yellow when you looted it. Sometimes you miss that in your rush to get the can before they do.

But, it could also be a bug in the event sites, and you should probably report it just in case.

Given the timing of the attack (right after looting the final NPC) that is also what I expect happened.

Thanks for that Andlaust, sounds the most logical answer, will check that next time

There’s several Battleships which went down recently in Wysalan.
I did the sites in remote Metropolis and under normal conditions you don’t become suspect. But of course any other player can join you in the site and kill the Boss-Battleship, which means the wreck is yellow to you, so neither the loot belongs to you nor you get the event points for killing the battleship. That happened once to me there, but they looted the wreck swiftly and disappeared to the next system without hesitation.
I was kinda pissed, but the cheapest way to handle this nuisance is to just let them go and continue with the next side.
