Hotkey Bug when switching windows

Hi Hi!

So, I keep getting this issue and have done some googling and searching this forum and noticed most of the discussion is around Linux, Wine and Proton. I am having this issue on Windows 11.

So, basically, if I switch windows, which I will normally do if I am running multiple clients I will start getting an issue were clicking or switching back to a Eve window will bring up blue markings (See picture)
The only way to get out of it is to hit esc and go back into the game. It is rather annoying if I am switching between multiple clients. It even happens on a single client.

I have tried

  • Fresh Install
  • Verify files
  • clear cache
  • I even bought a new PC through this issue.
  • Added eve client exe to virus exceptions (Suggestion on Reddit)

Any ideas would be great.

Just to make sure: Your keybind for approach isn’t one of the buttons you use to change window?

I can see this happen when I press Alt-Tab to switch windows and accidentally press the Q (which is next to Tab) as well.

Q is the ‘approach’ button and pressing it would make the blue line and ‘Approach’ message appear.

Right, Sorry for late reply, shift work and not had time to come back to this.

Right, I checked for hotkeys but this happens when I do not even use any keyboard shortcuts. I just re-activated my accounts for the weekend pass and have them on one screen, if I click anywhere outside this, IE browse chrome or whatever and then click back to one of the windows it will do this. So it is entirely mouse clicks that lead to it.

It does a little like the approach, but I do not know why this happens and it makes mining with multiple clients very frustrating as I have to cancel this everytime I move between screens to empty hold etc.

Any other ideas?

Ok, so it is approach. But as I said above it happens with mouse clicks changing the active window not hotkeys… See the video I just made showing it.

Ok that is pretty weird…
I have no idea unfortunately…
