Yes that is indeed correct. It’s just like with the wardec nerf, where they said they want to get rid of big corps wardecing everyone, and then they made changes that made sure those where the only ones left being able to do wardecs economically.
I just think none of them actually plays as a ganker or wardecer, and they simply don’t bother to ask anyone that does when they make changes to this systems. After all it’s just a side show to their all important nullsec game.

Jep, they can’t activate safety red in highsec anymore. They have to enter low or null to do that now.
Additional limitations for Alpha pilots in Highsec
By introducing these changes, the consequences for ganking have become more severe. To avoid players attempting to work around these new rules using Alpha clones, we are preemptively removing the ability for Alpha clones to disable safety while in high security space. They will still be able to enable partial safety in Highsec, and disable safety completely in any other areas of space.

I thought thecrule was you couldnt on Green, and Alphas are locked Green in HS now?

Correct, Alphas will be able to go yellow, so you will still be able to go suspect.
Until 2023, when they remove that too.

Well, I sure hope you have someone to do logistics with or that you aren’t permaflashy. Cause they just made it annoying for solo/small-scale permaflashies staging out of highsec.

the no tether thing is a big aid for haulers, imo that change a lot for tiny ganks and solo hero gankers killing small o rmedium targets
just like I said in another thread after Draclav brought the no tether subject a few days ago, I remembered that this no tether discourse came from some big haulers years ago, i actually saw a private stream from them in which they were streaming a bot who could travel gate to gate directly through highsec and he did +120 jumps
since I saw it comming I immediately dennounced the UedamaScout and 22 people more, I did simply out of spite since I knew the no tetherthing would come in aid for the haulers
those people are running scout bots like the Uedama scout and the freighters are on bots too
the tether thing helped them an they knew it would help them
so CCP’s announcement that protects newbs doesnt stick much
PvE for $20,00 a month isn’t asking too much.

several times i saw people blinking red or suspect and jumped to kill them
and they were invul
IMO no tethering for suspects and criminals in any sec
especially null sec were is more egregious
to be frank delete tethering from the game, nothing important will be lost

I had thought there was pve only option found in Nulsec with some umbrella protection.
