  • Reduce the subscription price
  • Remove red safety in high-sec
  • Remove confusing game mechanics
  • Improve login and opportunity rewards
  • Stop focusing development on null-sec

People will still continue ranting because they have been suspect baited, duel baited and wardecced in high-sec.

I included it to see how important it really is to players (not that I feel it is).

Idk why ppl are upset over null? Before the expansions CCP said null was next before that was losec

Maybe because null is boring as sin, and every time they work on null they end up nerfing every other region…

Maybe because null is entirely responsible for their current level of stagnation (due in no small part by dominating the CSM and rigging the deck in their favor)…

Maybe because null is the biggest group of whiny carebears in EVE…

The CSM is politically corrupt and should be disbanded. I know why we have a CSM, I was there in the bad old days but it’s past a point of being useful anymore to the game as a whole.

Eve Echoes Second Rate Trying Hard Copy Cat.

Politics are synonymous to corruption since the beginning of human History. nothing New.

If its a good game people will pay money for it so id rather they keep the subscription but make the game better  But seems like they have trouble doing that, so just make it cheaper and maybe people will play it a little longer. Best choice.

For Omega accounts, that’s a bridge too far, IMO.

However, I do think if you enable red safety in hisec you should incur a suspect timer that persists as long as safeties are disabled. I mean, if you’re flying around “civilized” space with guns up and a finger on the trigger… That’s suspect.

Probablay because 50% player base plays and stays in highsec only. So they might not understand why nullsec gets all the love.

remove toxic game mechanics players don’t like in general with valid reason:

  1. remove or fundamentally change wardecs. (this needs to happen anyway)
  2. Give miners something like an ADC to make ganking harder if they pay attention.
  3. remove mechanics like asset safety, projection and timers that cater to N+1 gamestyle. Make it possible for smaller groups to claim a system in null.
  4. remove industry bonus of nullsec structures. (makes highsec industry more viable)
  5. sort everything a bit better so newbros learn faster. there is no need for an agency, and opportunities window that show similar things…

There you go. way to safe eve.

That’s fair, but doesn’t exactly deter the all criminals multibox Catalyst deathballs that appear by abiogenesis as soon as someone undocks a Pacifier. High-sec is a lie.

To the point, just make the game fun, make some actual content instead of outsourcing not only the generation of fun and content to the players, but now also onboarding new players. What are the subscriptions even going towards, tweaking some numbers, incorrectly half the time mind you, and keeping the lights on?

Advertise the game for what it is, an open world pvp focused sandbox. That way you will attract more people who are open to that idea, and the ones who aren’t are at least TOLD what it is, so the first time they run into trouble they go “well, that was to be expected”, instead of rage quitting like a toddler.

Fix the dumb issues, literally just low hanging fruit, that cause day 1-3 players to feel completely lost.

Sounds reasonable.

(I guess also depends on the details but that’s to be expected.)

Btw would it also render them immobile while active? What about making them incapable to warp while active or if not tackled they could warp away?

But then they couldn’t trick randoms into trying EVE and potentially pay a bit of money for this and that before realizing the game is not for them.

Those people will just go play Rust, or very soon Dune: Awakening. The world has changed since 2003, EVE has not in any meaningful way.

no, high sec doesnt want me there and i dont wanna be in nullsec.

ppl lose hope that ccp fixes stuff outside of null where they wont experience any of it.

remove photon, finish half done features, remove events, realistic marketing, stop removing stuff that ppl like and stop adding stuff that people dont like

basically change 95% of your approach to making this game

There are tons and tons of competitive games out there, with massive audiences. There is a place for EVE in that.

Would be my second choice…
