ICE harvester 1 vs Tech 2 vs ORE ICE harvester

Why the hell did I buy a ORE variant when de T1 seems to do the job pretty much the same without any residue….???

Can someone enlighten me? hahaha

I feel scammed… again

Cause you’re a dork? Why would you buy a less-than-optimal ship then come cry on the forum?

You scammed yourself

Now it’s time for you to sell it to some else (who might come to the forums afterward). The life-cycle in EVE.

Both T2 and ORE mine 20% faster than T1.

T2 however has the downside that it has residue, which effectively means ice belts are smaller for you as part of the ice is wasted while you mine.

ORE is easier to fit, has more range and does not have residue. But all of those benefits come at a significantly higher price.

Sure, you can use T1 if you don’t mind mining slower!

With plain T1 you are at least a minimum of 40 seconds basetime slower before you integrate any upgrades to your ship, means you are giving others the chance to mine a block before you do. This is not only very relevant on the last block in the ICE roid. It could mean others take the last block before you do and also you have mined for 4 minutes without any result.
It can also mean that you never get any result of a filled roid if too many other lasers with better statitistics are mining on it and complete their cycle before you do, as contrary to mineral asteroid mining there is no accumulation of mined ore over time in a cycle but you only get 1 block of ICE into your cargohold after you completed the full cycle uninterrupted.

Look at it other way: You will produce prettier killmail when someone ganks You. :innocent:

And the module drops intact. The ganker puts it up for sale. OP buys it. Again. And the cycle continues.
