I want to propose a very interesting idea for the game: shared visual inside structures. For example, when a teammate’s spaceship undocks, the animation could be synced for everyone to see his undocking, and when they docked you can see them beside you and see the changing of their ship, and you could also choose to display their name and ship type. I think this would be a really fun feature, as an alternative to the captain’s room. And it can alse provide us chance to make more emotional expression to the mates.
When we first got the citadel interiors I was disappointed this wasn’t already a thing. They’ve got all those bays, but they’re just for your own ships. Just populate them with the player’s ships, and then fill in the rest with random ships from other players.
An argument against it would be that it lets you see what the other guests of a freeport are flying, and if something you want to kill undocks, you’d undock yourself to chase it. Maybe pick randomly from ships stored in the structure from both online and offline players? Refineries would be full of mining ships, citadels would have a wide mix depending on what the system is used for, engineering complexes would be mostly haulers, etc. Would be pretty cool to dock to a Spectre staging and seeing a line of Retributions waiting next to you.
