If you were allowed to train 1 skill to level VI what would it be

Tactical shield manipulation - it is detrimental to learn it beyond level 4 anyway :smiling_imp:. And if you are flying armor tanked ships - you want that skill at 0 to take an advantage of natural shield regen rate and slow down the rate your armor is going down.

Calm down poster, we are talking hypotheticals here.

Shield regeneration rate is not linear, yes. But max shield regen point is at 25% of shields and below that your passive regen rapidly drops. These 25% also coincide with Tactical shield manipulation level 0. Since shields do not provide much buffer for armor tanks its better to keep them as close to 25% (to take advantage of that max regen point) so that every hit on you is partially wasted on that ever regenerating shield.
Same for passive shield tanking - in case you hit 0 shields and lose all regeneration you are dead. That can be avoided by not having Tactical shield manipulation at 5 and have higher shield regen during that critical moment and bleed armor/structure a little bit slower: that may or may not save your ship.

Tactical shield manipulation level 5 is completely useless, unless you fly a Rorq.

Target Painters VI, oof!

Either CPU management or Powergrid management. Motion prediction is tempting, too…

Difficult question!

Youd actually waste a level VI skill on a couple SP that you can just buy with isk?

I would give up on all capital skill’s I-V if everyone else did
