Here’s one player who HATES the CSM system.
While theoretically a good idea that might work, it has resulted in CCP disproportionately favoring the hard-core Nullsec alliance type players, and apparently turned their attitude of “ignore any high sec mission running carebears, all of the fun is in PvP” into design policy.
So they haven’t updated the PvE missions in ten years, instead they try to force everyone into PvP like with this year’s horribly designed “Halloween Event”, or by adding yet more factions (Triglavian, Edencom).
Casual players, highsec carebears etc will never be adequately represented in a group like a CSM because, well, we’re not typically as fanatical, and may spend fewer hours in the game, than the PvP Low/Nullsec crowd.
I wish CCP had a strong design team instead of asking a particular type of player for advice, and damaging their game by listening to them.
It would be easy: “Due to safety concerns over the current worldwide pandemic, we are no longer able to hold our CSM cabal in Iceland. Unfortunately, this means that we will be suspending the CSM until further notice.”
This is EVE. There’d be threadnoughts on the topic for weeks on end. Impotent rage would reach maximum levels for a while. At least until the next thing to be angry about.
