I’m relocating my question to here as I’ll never get a response there. Anyway, I followed Memphis Baas’s instructions but could not find ‘save profile’ and could not do anything the ‘official way.’

You can find your profiles under “\user\AppData\Local\CCP\EVE” (for Windows).
Just make a copy of them and use it as a backup, its not exactly an Export function but as far as i know there is none.
You can also duplicate your “Default”-Profile from time to time, the “Client Settings” on Launcher gives you the option to copy a Profile, just rename it with the current date and you have your settings “Exported”, if something goes wrong you can always go back to a specific date.
