Anyone know how the game arrives at estimated isk ?

For sometime now, est isk for HS ore is around 50% less than what the 90% buy in jita is…why doesnt this adjust itself to be more accurate?

230 million for veld est isk becomes 133 in the eve appraiser sell. Why even bother have the in game est isk when its so far off.

Price of what ppl are selling it for in different markets as well I think
