Since the May 18, 2021 “Great Escape” patch, EVE Online has left the
Interdiction Nullifier in a bugged state where it frequently fails to register
unless manually activated specifically during the jumping animation. This
mechanical flaw could be corrected by adding a logic check to auto-trigger the
module if it is off cooldown when the jumping sequence is initiated. The current
meta is mathematically broken, pitting over 350 variations of offensive tackle
and EWAR modules (including disruptors, scramblers, webs, and bubbles) against
only 2 active defensive counters, allowing 10 million ISK T1 hunter fits to
reliably kill 300 million to 1 billion ISK exploration ships. By ignoring these
technical failures through unmonitored feedback channels and catering to
PvP-centric alt-accounts, the developers have effectively abandoned the
risk-reward balance for the exploration community.
I am not aware of a bug with the interdiction nullifier and I use it a lot.
I am however aware of many ways you could use the nullifier incorrectly, so I have a suspicion you’re not activating it at the right time.
You’re supposed to have the nullifier active the moment you activate warp.
Not when you have already pressed warp.
Not when you’re already in warp.
Not when you’re not yet ready to warp and aren’t going to press the warp during its short duration.
The moment you press warp your warp path is calculated, and that is the moment the game determines if you’re going to land in a bubble or not. That is the moment you should be nullified, and have the nullifier active. Any bubbles that go up after that will be ignored by your warp path, allowing you to warp through some bubbles. Any bubbles that disappear before you arrive at them but were up the moment you pressed warp without nullifier will still stop you, which sometimes makes you end your warp in the middle of space seemingly without a bubble that stopped you.
These are not bugs, this is how your warp drive behaves.
How did you use your nullifier and what happened that you think it is bugged?
