In FacWar, you can enlist as individual pilot and corp, even though you are in an alliance. This is not possible with normal player wars, is that correct?
players can’t make this choices, only the corp can, if the corp is in an alliance, then only the alliance can.
if you as an individual have beef with someone, just shoot them, no need to declare war 
That’s not up to me. I got a war on my hand and wanted my best buddy’s corp to help me out. They are in an alliance, though, and that’s troublesome. Would have been nice if CCP implemented this FW system for player wars, too. Now I need to inconvenience the alliance leader and uninvolved corps in that alliance in my business. 
oh, i see yeah that clars that up, we do have a extra corp where the members willing to shoot can temporary join, so they have SRP and leave the carebaer part out of it, this removes the alliance hazzle.
Something else that really bugs me is this:
I received a surrender offer from my attacker. I accepted this offer. Why am I surrendering instead of the attacker? This puts the completely wrong light on the resolution of the war and misrepresents what is actually happening.
