aahh, i get it!?
you mean to say that you care more about people surrounding you in game, than in real life?
i’d say that makes perfect sense, because in real life you can ignore them without getting shot at. Usually.

Pretty much.
And not only that but people i run into in eve are (in)famous for one thing another. They fly bling fits, or they are a goon fc, or they always have neutral rr, or they are cyno bait or an AWOXer or a theif…the list is endless.
An ‘alias’ feature is too cumbersome to check everyone in local/ every application that they may be one of these people. So nicknames on show info is fine. Changing names in local or overview, killboards, corp history etc is not ok.
This is a terrible argument. There are differences because the situations are different. Quite obviously.
In RL if you kill someone who is on the way to the market and steal all their stuff you get considerably more than a 15 minute slap on the wrist.
In a game the targets of such attacks need some means to identify the attackers, Name changes are just a crappy means for gankers to avoid being set red by targets.
It’s a complete no from me.
Yeah I see your point. Once you commit a crime inside high-security space in Eve online that crime is attached to your record forever. Since it isn’t possible to create alternate accounts or skill inject a new character or buy one, your actions have lasting consequences that are irrevocably tied to a single character’s name.
I was against SP trading partly for this reason. At least going the alternate character/sp injecting route is a lot more awkward.
or you just cant change it becouse you missconfig computer stuff, reason why this feature has been requested from many people about 15 years of this game history, and you ended ratting to buy skill extractors moving sp to a new cool name toon, and lasy euro programmer again dont make money
