That’s an easy way to exploit the ‘once-in-a-lifetime’ shipcasters!
I hope CCP fixes that issue.
An easy solution could be:
- only certain t1 ships allowed
- and no cargo

Another example of CCP not thinking things through. I think they should create an Interstellar Community Conference (ICC), which could act as a forum for discussing these ideas. Experienced players could provide meaningful feedback and help CCP avoid obvious mistakes.
How can there be NPC that pose a danger to your newbie ship if everyone now calls this space “totally secure”. Doesn’t sound right if the NPCs can harm your hull.
CCP should change that and make it totally secure as advertised. We need a “True Totally Secure” space instead of just this “Totally Secure” space.
To move stuff from Jita to Amarr, using Exordium, one would have to travel from Jita to Yulai, then to Manifest, drops you off in Mehatoor, the gate to Amarr…and the trip back is even worse, Amarr to Yulai may as well just skip Exordium as you are almost to Jita anyways, sure you can get around Uedama, but there are plenty of other chokes.
but thats the only time you can use that shipcaster, unless you spam alpha alts which CCP will be keeping an eye on
Ofc, more just saying that it’s not that convenient or safe other than for new players.
But they walk sidewise!
Does anyone honestly not think the exit(s) will be hellgated?
considering new players are usually not the target of ganks, not likely, but CCP has contigency plans if so.
what about abyssing in new region? )
most likely no.
CCP finally making the first steps to a PvP-optional EvE.
Starter systems already existed for decades. They are now adding more of them and grouping them together to be more easily used by new players. And I’m sure that the whole region will be equally interesting to old players as the current starter systems… meaning, most of us will go there once to see it and ignore it afterwards, a small percentage will use them for something…. whatever. That being a step to PvP optional game is just an exaggeration.
I like the idea that if Lil Johnny and Becky wanna start playing EVE, one picks Caldari the other Gallente, they can still play together and not be on opposite sides of new eden.
I didn’t even think about that, but that’s an excellent example of why grouping them together is a good idea.
that was one of their explanations for why they did it this way
I used to be one of the folks that were totally against this new area. But now that we have more news about it…im really looking forward to what it can bring.
Its also funny to me that some of the folks in this thread that are totally hating this idea………..i wont mention any names…. their identity isnt important…..are in fact some of the same ones ive seen mention that wished ccp could find new ways to get new players in the game.
Well, here you go, and youre still complaining.
Yeah, I had similar thoughts about the character creation aspect..
From this threads Dev Blog:
The central CONCORD constellations contain the 12 new starter systems, into which new players will be dynamically placed as they finish the AIR NPE. These starter systems are no longer split by empire. Instead, rookies will be placed based on the load of each system, so the new region can dynamically adjust to accommodate periods of high newbie influx.
That right there is a big NO… Removing player ability to choose their character’s bloodline basically turns this game into a fully scripted theme park… Since this is not a free game, players should at least have the ability to choose their character’s bloodline…
Gotta say I’m seriously getting tired of all this scripted BS being implemented as a game improvement by some halfwit Dev in a drunken stupor…
And speaking of BS, also from the Dev Blog:
new players usually don’t carry valuable items that make them worthwhile targets for “suicide ganking”. (Of course, this doesn’t mean they are never targeted, just that it is quite uncommon.)
However, new players do not know this, and will often have read stories about how ruthless and cutthroat New Eden can be, or even specific stories of new players being destroyed in highsec space. This means that some new players are learning the basics of EVE Online under a cloud of anxiety, knowing that another player could show up and attack them at any time.
Now that’s definitely a load of BS… If there wasn’t an issue of new players getting ganked, then this whole Exordium Region idea wouldn’t need to be implemented… The only reason CCP keeps wording it that way is so they can save face and not contradict all the lies they’ve said in the past about this topic…
They didn’t say that they are removing bloodlines…
