Up coming Starter Space

making it pve only is not a good idea..

actual new players will get it in their collective heads all of eve is that way

and gankers will wait for them.. pretty sure thgere will be a time limit or sp limit to how long you can stay int he noob space..

best of all only a matter of time till the “why me” posts

Yes, there will be a time limit. And yes, new players are going to whine no matter what form this new area takes…

I doubt there will be an sp limit as they have said they expect to see me and K’shal in there. Neither of us are low sp

CCP is already thinking about limitations for veterans to prevent them from ganking every thing coming out of Exord.

Just give them a 5 minute invulnerability timer upon leaving the noob zone. That’s plenty of time to exit the starting area and get out of the system.

I don’t like new players.

tsk I would think that you would take after W.C. Fields.

And you haven’t thought maybe that’s the way FC is going? Sure looked like a whole lot of PvE focus in that “fanfest” show.

Only for newbie characters in ships below a certain (rather high) value.

I assume some people will be hauling AT ships into that region, and out too in case of a sale. I wouldn’t want haulers containing expensive goods to be granted 5 minute invulnerability.

I thought for sure you’d be excited with the potential to sell all those mining permits…

This is incorrect. You seem to be very late for the party.

Its already been stated many times that you can stay as long as you wish…but one of the many stated requirements are that you cannot continue to mine materials after a certain time (30 days ). The value of those resources in that area are so low…it wont be worth it to stay anyway.

As far as ganking and what will happen to them in the real eve world, thats the lessons they should pick up on from the vets that are willing to tech them that.

That will be the most interesting part if and how this will be enforced. And your assumption that the value of these resources won’t make it worth to stay anyway is just wrong. No resource in EVE is without value…especially if you are in an alpha account and the resource is in a zone where you can’t lose stuff…then it is considered as “free stuff - let’s take it!”

It is a long standing argument, but a very high percentage of PVE players just ignore the time and work investment they need to put into something if it is risk free. So it doesn’t matter how low the income is, one will do it anyway and see it as profit.

Gaming does not always follow rational and objective rules, because…well…because it is gaming and not real life.

If they’re that stupid they deserve to be ganked.

At which point I simply create a new toon, or multiple free alpha accounts, keep on mining in the noob zone, and send money to my main ad infinitum. When CCP implemented unlimited, free, anonymous Alpha accounts, they opened Pandora’s Box…

This is why EVE Echoes has sky-high inflation and ores in high and low sec are all but worthless. Ships that cost 100 million in EVE Online cost billions in Echoes for the same ship. Because you can’t be killed and you can mine and haul to your heart’s content without losing a damn thing…

For example, a Prospect in EVE Online is what? 30 million ISK? In Echoes it costs over a billion…

Youll only have a limited time to do that. Theyll have to leave the area.

Now youre just blatantly ignoring that fact to keep this whole exordium doom and gloom facade you have going.

You are also late for this party. Its been talked about several hundred times here.

We all know that players will always find a way around the restrictions. Theyve said it will be monitored. In the meantime, all you doom and gloomers can continue to live off all your ghost theories about something that hasnt happened yet.

But it WILL happen. I’ve been playing EVE for 21 years, and it is 100% guaranteed. Feel free to come back to this post and quote me…

If it can be exploited - it will. How many Alphas were recycled during this event alone just for the PLEX and Warpath Intel? Honestly - I just don’t care. If players want to go to that much effort and FC is largely going to turn a blind eye - more power to them.

Exordium (aka Starter Space) - will be super boring for most players beyond the usual scams.

I dont care either. But, you have all these people thinking that new players will do nothing but just stay in safe space and mine resources over and over and over again and just completely kill the economy. They simply cant think of anything else but that. The barney police force is growing a fan base it seems.

It will become boring even to a new player after awhile. The intensity of what some of the folks here are predicting i really believe is over-exaggerated. Its really tough to fathom how that will work when nobody has seen it first hand yet.
I mean it seems to me the loudest voices on this issue are the very people who are going to be doing it themselves…ya know? Just watch out for Barney and his little constituents.

And thats my little prediction after playing 18 years.
