Introducing Exordium!

Right, my bad. What i meant is if all available stuff was mined in Exordium, it would surpass the actual mined volume in several other regions of EVE - not what is available in those regions. That would be very difficult to calculate.

Almost all the ore in Exordium is behind gates in anomalies and these gates only allow Corvettes and Ventures.
They’ve thought about this.

Not true. The static belts are just not accessible through right-click menu, but listed and warpable only via overview.

There are currently at least 25 static belts that can be warped to in whatever you want…

Somehow the new players are getting ideas about ISK/h from someone or somewhere though. I just had a talk with 2 months old players who wanted to join my gank corp, thinking it is the ultimate ISK/h.

I was explaining him how it works and that his Tengu is useless for that and he was constantly talking about ISK, ISK, ISK per hour how much he is doing now and that “no thank you I stick to exploration then” .

When I was new player before alpha clones were a thing (2016) I also wanted to earn enough ISK to PLEX my account so I can play for “free”. But the ISK per hour wasn’t a thing back then. For me at least, but I don’t remember anyone from corp I belonged to using that term and be fixated on how much ISK they are making per hour, per day, per week… What caused this mentality shift?

There is no such thing as free. PLEXing your account is more expensive than just paying a sub, both in terms of time and money…

Whether you slave away in-game to PLEX your account or buy PLEX - you’re working either way (one may be harder than the other).

Working for 1 hour at pretty much any job on the planet will pay for a month’s sub. I’m not about to grind for hours on end in-game to accomplish the same thing.

That is why those parethesis.

You and me both…

Honest question…

Do you all just have fun on EVE or spend hours punching shadows?

Having a newbie space is novel and not mentioning with how exordium is structured a great gateway into eve.

Sure the old days of being separated in empire space at 3 starting zones will eventually go away, but it does give the opportunity of hopeful new players or even vets a fresh start elsewhere.

That is absolute nonsense, what does it even have to do with safe zone?

I certainly didn’t notice any complaints when CCP improved NPE. New tutorial, heavily improved career missions, default overview. Well maybe towards the new overview that sucks and seems to me that it is created by some nullsec alliance. Could be much better. But even that is still improvement over before.

I don’t think that majority of the players, including those that dislike the new safe zone, objects against improving the game quality. We just fail to see how is the safe zone doing that. New players aren’t ganked and even if they are in very rare cases, then that is good as it happened before the player had anything to lose yet.

What do you think is better, player getting ganking while autopiloting in empty rookie ship/shuttle with <5m pod or AFK mining plagio in t1 fit venture or player getting ganked trying to leave the safe zone with 30k volume of stuff he farmed in safge zone? Maybe it doesn’t reallyx matter, after all the first time getting ganked is the breaking point that discovers if the player is a quitter or EVE player. But still.

Also new region goes exactly against what the game needs, and new upcoming changes too. We need less systems not more. We need less gate connections, not more.

But maybe they will remove current starting and career systems.

A two month old account flying a tengu? Its more than useless…it was a stupid decision all together.

Im here to have fun. I dont worry about all that other hub bub.

Totally agree. This game needs new players to take our place when were are gone.

The career agents are going to be moved to Exordium in the future. And all 1.0 rookie systems are going to become 0.9 systems.

1.0 security space will only exist in Exordium.

The later already happened. Will they stay though?

In a space as small as Exordium, they are going to have to reduce the number of Career Agents. There are currently 60 agents across the 4 empires. If you do all of them it comes out to roughly 160 million ISK and you get 108 ships. And you can do that on each and every toon on an account. So if they keep it the way it currently is, new players can get 480 million ISK and over 300 ships in perfect safety.

In the context of my original post. It was stating an observation of the behavior of some players and player groups in EVE. Bitter old vets like me. Not sure if I count. That these folks have and put upon others and every release of content in eve.

Anyways.

I think we can all agree the NPE is better now than then. With plenty of the overhauls and design philosophy in NPE missions can be applied to EVE in greater.

Like the FW system and like many systems, I am cautious of too. I think CCP has a habit of presenting half baked products or failing to address significant issues with the game.

Like the FW sites are still sit and capture capture points requiring you to wipe out swathes of NPCs.

CCP shows they can do better with the likes of NPE now, or even event content like the Shadow War campaigns, Drifter Invasion and so forth. But I’m not sure if its just conservative gamedesign or ineptitude. Id like to see EVE become better. It really has some hallmarks of what could be a great game. But at times it feels like it falls flat on its face. Once the veil is pulled back and you see the spaghetti clogged gas machine powered by a dying hamster.
