How about you learn to read with comprehension (and no, please don’t blame it on simple grammatical error of mine) instead of projecting your own stupidity on others?
Also what is obvious for you may not be obvious to everyone.
small correction hyper CORES are sold in NES, hyper NODES are raffle tickets bought for isk
will it push plex prices? probably - it is another use for plexes after all, but I suppose that mechanism is there to limit who can set up those raffles to an extend.
So you shut down sites like Somer Blink, and I want Isk… Then you come up with your own system. You PERMABANNED the people involved with those sites, even when no RMT was involved. Now, you’re turning this into an RMT casino. This is a spit in the face of the community, and anyone who either was A. A part of those sites and you banned, or B. Enjoyed those services and you screwed out of isk when you shut down the services. Just another example of a not well thought out change by you CCP.
And HOW did our CSM not see this and say these exact same things to CCP? If our CSM saw these changes coming and didn’t tell CCP how utterly pissed off we were going to be due to how they handled IWI and Somer Blink, they should be ashamed of themselves.
They don’t actually believe it. It’s just PR excuse to justify their main goal of bringing in gambling mechanics into the game to make money from plex sales to degenerates.
It’s just another item you can buy and convert into isk from the NES, like plex, skill extractors, skins or the like. Shouldn’t have a huge impact.
Honestly, Arrendis’s point above is probably on point. I don’t know how used this will be, depending on whether it actually results in stuff being sold quicker and at a higher price point than on the market. I can see the appeal for the buyer - you buy x number of cores and get a chance to win a high end mod or ship really cheap. But if the seller doesn’t make as much or more money, then I don’t know if this is going to be used much.
So a market with no guarantee that you get what you paid for, which is pointless from gameplay point of view, but with special currency bought with real money. Looks like you though that selling PLEX isn’t enough and gambling is a perfectly acceptable way of getting more out of your player base for the same thing.
Maybe you should think about bringing back captains quarters and start selling cat ears, tails and boob enlargers, since that’s the direction you’ve taken.
You’re mad over this, but it makes sense. It encourages item exchange. It also concentrates wealth, which isn’t good, as we just talked about wealth equality at Vegas, but I digress…
Normally, these mods would sell for say 100m ISK on the market.
Now, you can raffle the item off - with 1000 HyperLinks available, at 500,000ISK each.
You see what you did there? People will buy the links, at 500,000ISK each, to get a chance at the module. 10 links is 5m. 100 links is 50m. 1000 links, the whole raffle, is 500m. Definitely encourages valuable items to switch hands more often.
