Some form of verification might help in some ways, but without monitoring to look for troubling patterns of emerging behavior, itâs not enough. They need a way to keep an eye out to make sure theyâre not making addicts. Failure to do that is irresponsible.
imo its honestly not real gambling so having some form of verification is enough to me it would be a hassle to get done but honestly if it means i can farm isk while staying in jita 4-4 and doing my market thing on the alt i honestly dont care it just needs to be deflated from the monster people make it out to be and just let ccp do it and if it works well and brings more money into ccp then good and if the haters all hate it and dont use it then also good?
Personaly i just want to see the old casinos back in game I WANT ISK and SOMA were a massive part of eve they produced the largest war the games ever seen and some of the best stories in game came from them so why the hate now?

They could, but that would defeat the entire point of a F2P cash shop. Mechanics like this make the vast majority of their revenue from a small number of âwhalesâ investing tons of money. If you arenât going to exploit the whales and gambling addicts then thereâs zero point to investing developer time making it.
And aside from that, what number do you pick as a limit? For example, I could afford to spend $500 on PLEX tonight and all it would mean is that Iâd have to cut back on my other entertainment spending this month (and EVE still wouldnât even come close to being my most expensive hobby). Someone with a minimum wage retail job spending that same $500 on PLEX would probably fall short of being able to pay their bills as a result. So whose income level do you use to set the limit?
