Is it worth coming back? 10+ year break

I haven’t played in well over 10 years..tried the game out for a couple weeks like 5 years ago but my pc couldn’t handle it anymore.

I recently upgraded and im curious if the game is worth coming back to. I have 4 or 5 mining accounts with a 1 or 2 rorqual/jump freighter pilots as well as 2 pvp accounts 1 with titan/mothership and well over 100m skill points. if I can remember all the login details lol

If the game is still vibrant let me know and shoot me some offers if anyones recruiting so we can talk some more.

A lot of things happen. This are the few: Niarja is gone. The Mittani is gone. Code is gone. James315 was kicked out by a woman. and a lot of nerfs and buffs and some added Ships and NPC’s..

I’ve been playing for the last 8 years and the game is fun.

If you liked it back then there’s a good chance you will like it today.

There have been a bunch of changes, new ships, different prices and your Titan and mothership/Supercarrier are worth a lot now and can be docked up nowadays in Keepstars. Try not to lose them!

I’m no recruiter, but I do suggest to try the game and see for yourself if you like it!

If that isn’t the truest statement I’ve ever heard lol.

This is probably the longest the game has held my interest after my last break and I’d say for the most part it is more enjoyable than it ever has been. I can attribute a good portion of that to finally having found a good alliance in a good part of null.

But there have also been some QoL and mechanic changes that have made the game less painful at times. I’m feeling good about Eve for the first time in a long time. And that’s got me having fun and increasing my net worth and everyone in the corp. So if you’re looking for a good place to hang out and earn some isk/kill mails click the link below:

Yes, the game is definitely worth coming back to play, especially if you have high skilled characters with lot’s of assets…

As for the log-in details of your accounts, I’m sure CCP can help retrieve those for you…

Other than that, welcome back…

yh our corp has a lot of returning vets, take a look at my bio

If you can deal with the massive pussification of the player base in the last 10 years, it’s not bad. CCP catered to the carebears and the quality of players has done nothing but go downhill.

As an 08 player, I would have said no.

But he hit the nail on the head! If that’s what you want, then this is the game for you! Best of luck and welcome back.

I think thats most mmo’s in general these days tbf. But hey, if i dont have to set my alarm for 3am to offline a Russian POS anymore than I’m fine with that tbh. Im 38 now with 3 kids not 20 with nothing but time on my hands anymore lol.

Says the guy posting under a 1.5 month old character for reasons… stop complaining about it in the recruitment forums and go be constructive in the CSM forum.

Prime example of what I’m talking about.

13 year old account here and not afraid to post on my main rather than hide behind an alt.

How about you?

it is and tbh its the people you paly with and the mission, come talk to us i think you’ll enjoy it more !

hey there, look us up we would love to talk to you , we have really active fleets of all types !

What would make an old player want to come back in the 1st place?

Anyone who played eve that long ago probably had to make an effort to do well at the game. That kinda effort stays with you in the back of your mind. The challenges, to me at least are far fewer now. I have a good idea of why the op quit. I lost the last of my corp m8’s at the same time.

Is it worth coming back? Yes, for the most part. Just don’t expect it to be anything like it was…

I started a family and couldn’t dedicate the time needed plus my pc back then couldn’t handle the larger cap battles.. even the 200v200 abbandon with rails we used to run would be a pain and id drop to like 5fps. I didnt have the cash to invest in a new pc but now I do, all the games I’ve played since I quit just arent the same.. I miss the comradery most of all honestly.

I guessed the wrong reason, having never been married or having any kids. So, I had time and the extra $$$ to stay a while longer.

Some background because my view is prejudiced. The null blks being our small corps (40/50) favorite target, but they all quit apx the same time. So, I went Ronan. I tried null a couple of times, but it just left a bad taste in my mouth after fighting them for so long.

For you who likes null, this is, from my standpoint anyway, a good time to get back in the game. CCP has tilted gameplay in nulls favor. And even more so in the future if the rumors are correct. The only thing that has kept me interested is pissing and moaning on the forums, the last place I could find a good fight! (Thanks to all who suffer through my rants!) I retire within a yr and have planning a return myself. Which brings us to

That may be a problem and I don’t know the answer now days. Back then, I found the comradery of our small corp tighter than the null blks I tried later. Most new players don’t want to make much effort, so you have a big leg up on them as soon as you undock!

From what I read, there are still some corps worth joining but you would have to find them 1st. Others will help with that, I hope. I would try and find one before committing to the game since it costs more now. Make sure your comfy with the game as it is now vs then. A lot has changed.

Anyway, welcome back! I hope you decide to stay,

we are a smaller corp out in npc null stain and have some sov. no mandatory fleets/paps just chill make isk, or sit on a gate camp in lowsec with our friends. join our discord and chat to see if we are a fit for you DogSoldierS
