Old Timer Possible Returning

Played many moons ago, really lost myself in Eve, but family etc meant I have basically not played in over 10 years(one short stint a few years back to see how it was) but with things changing, I am thinking of getting back in to it in a few months time(need to get a new PC etc) and just wondered what is the main changes and even if it is really worth me trying to get back into it after all this time?

As a background in Eve, I was a founder of a Corp(QotSA) pure PVP, lover of Minmatar Arty glass cannons! Having said that, pretty sure the player base will have long gone that would recognise this. :older_man:

Any advice welcome, even if it is just f*ck off old timer, no room for you now. :grinning:

Christ, I cannot even remember what stuff I had!!! It will however be strewn all over the Eve Universe!!

If you had any PLEX left, you’ll be pleasantly surprised to see what it’s trading at now…

Welcome back! Lots of changes but not much you need to know in advance, you can just pick it up as you play again. Possibly start a new character or even new free account to do the tutorial and career agents to get you back into the general swing of things.

You can use Referral Links between your own accounts to give each of them 1,000,000 bonus SP.

Check the Returning Player Guide for some updates and tips.

If any of your assets are stuck in a hard to reach region (or the new Triglavian region of Pochven which was sort of yoinked out of high sec), you can check CCP’s guide to recovering assets:

Hope it all goes well for you, have fun!

10 years, eh? You know that one girl in high school who was hot as ■■■■, but now she’s 100 pounds heavier and has three kids? It’s kinda like that…

 Actually thinking about it, my son just turned 14, which means it was basically that long ago!! Sh1t, I am old!!

I’m not saying that EVE isn’t worth it, just that she’s incurred some…mileage.

You could have just described me there to be honest.

Well, in my case, I’ve been playing EVE for 19 years. I’m the one that put that extra 100 pounds and 3 kids there, so I’m stuck with her. Metaphorically speaking, of course…

Welcome back to New Eden… if you do decide to return…

Personally I think the low cost price of a yearly sub is definitely worth it… That will allow you to enjoy hours, days, weeks, months and up to a years time of game play…

Was going through my EVE info links and noticed this one. It has a summary of significant changes going back over the past few years. Might be worth a look:

I’m in the same boat (ship?). Started '07 and stopped in '19. Reactivated Omega a week or so ago, I got nostalgic.
