Wow this topic derailed faster than… Wait I can’t finish that thought. Not language under 13 should see.
@ISD thanks for all the hard volunteer work.

That is old, and never was actually true in the first place…
Whilst EVE felt like a pvp paradise for quite a few years, still can do at times, it never truly was… the infrastructure and inherent safety of things like npc stations undermine that completely - the whole notion of industry, npcs and missions help undermine that still further - and the development of EVE, both by the player base, and the response to that over time by CCP marks EVE as an empire/trading game - more so today than at any time in the past…
and never was actually true in the first place…
Can i use this line if something ccp releases doesn’t conform to my views?

Of course you can, but the evidence is there and always has been to support the view I just stated - just because you can quote a pvp reference, doesn’t make it intrinsically true, you do know that right?

So why bother arguing the point?
By that standard eve is neither a trading game, nor a sandbox nor anything because no evidence is good enough.
I propose we return to the original point of the thread: ISD Appreciation / Ways CCP Could Further Empower ISD

Oh dear, oh dear oh dear oh dear… wow even… /hugs - you need some
I suppose it’s my own fault for trying to have a discussion…
ISD Appreciation / Ways CCP Could Further Empower ISD
No “last words”
please and thank you

I disagree with the motion - I don’t find ISD actions consistent, transparent or fair-minded - so don’t give them any more powers…
OK, you win!
I suppose it’s my own fault for trying to have a discussion…
You just said a ccp source wasn’t the truth even at the time of writing…
And apparently i need hugs…
Do you see what i mean by people who skirt the line of personal attacks?
and that’s just your opinion, while I’ve had a few instances with them, I still think they need some more power on the forums so CCP doesn’t have to step in as head of babysitters, when the babysitters have no power.
and that’s just your opinion
Absolutely I can point to examples to support my opinion, but it is just my opinion in the end
Here, some CCP quotes from the front page:
EVE Online is a community-driven spaceship MMO
Space exploration, immense PvP and PvE battles and a thriving player economy in an ever-expanding sandbox
Participate in many in-game professions and activities, including war, politics, piracy, trading, and exploration
So what can we ascertain from those statements?
I think in the how to make isk video they call faction warfare “PvP infused mission running”. If PvP were the core, it wouldn’t need to be infused into anything.
Hold up. I got a new quote for this;
and never was actually true in the first place…
So what can we ascertain from those statements?
I don’t ascertain from that information that eve ISN’T a pvp sandbox. That to me sounds like it is.
seriously can we stop arguing over whether or not eve is a ■■■■■■■ sandbox??? and stay on ■■■■■■■ topic.
I think we found something else to talk about - although debating skills need some development, it’s almost a start…
Should probably have stopped at but sometimes you just have to keep checking
Back to you and your thread
