Just noticed Firetail falloff bonus

Haven’t played in a few years. Was messing around looking at ships and I noticed the Firetail now has damage, tracking AND a falloff bonus.

While this isn’t the biggest change the game has ever seen, it’s very interesting to me. The Firetail was always a pretty basic ship that could be very strong in the hands of a good pilot. With a falloff bonus and the Firetail’s slot layout and ship strengths, I imagine some very interesting things are now possible with this ship, including kiting fits which used to be sub-optimal due to the ship’s bonuses.

I don’t know what the meta is like in lol-sec right now but I imagine there must be tons of arty-tails poncing around two shotting people. I know that’s what I would do LOL

Please fellow PvP enthusiasts - regale me with the frustrations of the current meta

BTW they also nerfed the Rifter’s damage bonus into a ROF bonus awhile back - technically this didn’t nerf the ship overall, but it nerfed it in terms of arty fits. The Rifter and Slasher’s bonuses are backwards IMO. Slasher should have ROF and Rifter should have damage. Rifter is so clearly the artillery boat out of the two. Slasher cannot do arties. But because of the RoF bonus on the Rifter, arty fits are still workable but totally gimped of their alpha strike. Super lame

Bro arty-tail is OP straight up. I might have to come back to this game just to run Arty Firetails and two shot people in low and null sec

They’ve done some very strange things to the Minmatar ships over the years. I came back after 16 years and found my Rifter and Hurricane were nerfed, and the Muninn and Rapier are now missile ships???

At least the Thrasher is still a cool little surprise frigate popper.

dual web arty firetails have been very strong for some time now.
personally, i fit them dual prop, scram/web and autos with a small ancil armour repper.
very nice little ship.
