I have nothing against first 3 pockets of this expedition. But the 4th pocket…
You need get a station to sub 20% of shield (which feels like 50k buffer max) to spawn all waves of enemies in the pocket except for single final boss.
And then you have to dig through like 10k of remaining shield, 500k of armor and 400k of hull of this station to spawn a final boss. with nothing happening during all this. Can anyone suggest any logical explanation why this should be a thing? 10-15 of shooting a structure (that drops 0 loot) to spawn a boss.
And a cherry on the top - boss’s wreck is 70% of time is straight up empty! Not even a stack of faction ammo!
This design gives nothing to the gameplay loop except for additional frustration. I’d rather have the structure that shoots at me and even points/webs me, but has a reasonable amount of HP. Even in lowsec.
Those numbers are very off. It does take a bit of work but it’s not that much of a problem at all as long as you have decent dps. The shields are gone in a few volleys if you do it right.
Well maybe it is a bit off but a rough estimation on my DPS and time it took to take it down gives at least(!) 500-600k armor+hull. And again - if this shooting was in any way interactive (like it shooting back/repping or spawning more enemies overtime), or gave at least some guaranteed reward (even if it is a bunch of faction ammo and a tag with combined price of a couple of mil), I wouldn’t care.
But here we have basicaly a mining simulator but less entertaining and even less profitable.
Again - I don’t mind fighting a fat/repping boss. Even with tackle/EWAR. But knocking on bosses door for 15+ minutes and then kill him in like 5 seconds (because he’s on a regular - not even elite! - battlecruiser) is kinda boring gameplay-wise.
