Federal Navy Academy - ROFL
Do not confuse noobs with GANKERS
Mutually exclusive?
They are in an NPC corp, so they don’t have a director that can pull API from, so you aren’t seeing all the losses due to only NPCs (aka CONCORD).
6 kills, 6 losses. Last PvP action was 2019 ( I took a 5 year break). Mine’s a pretty boring read.
Anyone can post their losses from Corporation - Kill Reports window, also if they login to zkill it will post their losses automatically too. This is not restricted to corporation CEO.
But why? Lossess to NPCs doesn’t count anyway. And if they choose to, like me to post manually, for various reasons, then why would they post their losses, that again doesn’t count, as it is extra work?
I treat my killboard like a garden. And losses in red are weed. I want my garden clean. Am I obsessed about it? No, I can care less that some antiganker wannabe whored on my ship before it died to CONCORD, but I am not going to post it for him. Posting kill is a responsibility of the attacker.
This is incorrect.
If I storm a military conmpound an the gate guns get me.
Did I die?
Is it a loss steming from my actions?
I know, but as you stated, why would anyone post their own NPC lossmails. The only reason why some do get posted is if a director or CEO has it enabled.
Zkillboard doesn’t count losses to NPCs into statistics.
Look if you want to grief gankers by making their killboard red. I mean, if you think it is something they care so much about and will “cry” over it. Then do it ingame. Undock, find them, wait for them and whore on their ship before CONCORD destroys them. Prefferably with something cheap and funny like rookie ship or perhaps with something fancy like Stormbringer - which will allow you to tag them all at once!
But stop asking for game to be changed so you get what you want effortlessly. It won’t happen anyway, developers gives a shiet about forums and what players suggests here.
But I have a feeling that you won’t do that. You probably ragequitted and biomassed all your toons because gankers killed your AFK freighter or something and now you are just trolling and spam forum with malicious intend with harmful ideas and suggestions that would make the game worse. Really, that must have been some serious loss (or maybe completely trivial like empty shuttle+pod) that it made you do this.
This post reeks of killboard control-freak syndrome masquerading as selective logic. Let’s break it down:
Accurate.
Anyone with access to their client’s corporation kill report or API history can post their own kills or losses manually to zKillboard. But this part is just a setup.
Red herring.
No one’s arguing over NPC losses. The real issue is PvP losses—especially when someone hides them but proudly parades every kill. This creates a misleading public record, which is what critics of killboard “curation” actually take issue with.
Cute, but revealing.
Calling losses “weeds” and saying they don’t belong shows the poster does care, despite claiming otherwise. If you truly didn’t care, you wouldn’t be pruning your “garden.” This is like saying, “I don’t care about appearances, but here’s my Instagram filter strategy.”
Contradiction Alert.
If you’re going out of your way to not post losses, but manually do post kills, that’s the textbook definition of being image-obsessed—even if you frame it as “extra work.”
Technically true.
Kills are usually auto-posted by the attacker (or their zKill integration), but this doesn’t excuse selectively omitting your own PvP losses. Doing so is not neutral behavior, it’s stat manipulation.
This is a classic example of a player trying to defend the curated fantasy of their in-game performance while claiming disinterest. It’s not about NPC losses, it’s about trying to avoid showing legitimate PvP defeats to preserve a “green” zKillboard.
And the irony?
If you’re hiding your losses, you’re already admitting they matter.
Well anyone can post PVP losses, no one is hiding them. Both sides can post. No one is curating. Everyone posts their kills, if someone doesn’t post their kill, it’s not on the loser to do so.
Nope, not unless the miner gets on the KM.
Well someone has to be on the KM, or it’s an NPC loss.
I actually liked that KB. I had nothing to hide. It showed your favorite prey. Pod’s for me so if you did a little bit of quick homework on another pilot before engaging…
You cannot if the other side doesn’t. Just so you know.
I’m not going to spend a lot of time critiquing that fit, but that’s not an ideal setup for events.
The warp core and cloak work against you, because this fit takes forever to lock. And if you get caught out by gankers the tank is so paper thin that 3-4 catalysts will take it out.
You want at least 1x hyperspatial and 1x RoF for rigs and Ascendancy implants. The lows should sport 2x T2 inertial, 1x Deadspace medium armor rep, 2x T2/Faction mag stabs, 1x T2/Faction/Deadspace energized multispectrum and 1x RAH. Mids should have a T2 grappler, 15.5km Abyssal web, 500MWD, 1x T2 tracking computer and 1x T2 sensor booster w/scan resolution script.
You want to be running Null ammo and Caldari Navy hornets.
And killmails/killboards are one of the worst things that have been implemented in EVE.
Zkillboard is often used to gather easy live intel on killing activities, such as EVE - Check before you jump!
There is no reason players should have to work with such intel tools against their own interests by posting kills immediately.
If all kills were immediately visible at all times this would -through this easy intel- lead to less content, less destruction and as result less opportunities for miners and industrialists to sell their goods. In other words, bad for the game.
I think it’s good zkillboard is opt-in, rather than standard.
Only if you suck at PvP
The majority of players suck at PvP (player vs. player). Now if we’re talking about GvP (gang vs. player), yeah - a lot if players excel at that..
That was for travel.
