please can you share some leshak and vedmak fit for lvl4 missions?
I doubt there are any. L4 mission ships are rattlesnake (double source of adjustable DPS) or Machariel (mission blitz universal machine). Problem with Triglavian ships in missions is that NPC will die before damage will ramp up and you are limited to just one main source of DPS (drones are not bonused), which lacks selectable damage type.
thanks man
You can do lvl4’s in any ship you want. saying snakes and machs are it is very short sighted. Fly whatever you like to fly. Some are better than others and its often mission dependent on the ship if you really want to be the perfectionist.
I’ve run Level 4 missions with a Leshak. It was interesting.
The damage type is locked, not a big deal but can be a bit inconvenient. Thermal/Explosive isn’t a bad pairing though. The ramp up means that demolishing big targets can take a while before you break them. But they will go. On the upside, it does sweep small stuff efficiently.
I’m not sharing the fitting as I don’t think it was a very successful fit.
The biggest weakness was range. You are really going to have to close range, which means you’ll take damage and need to run the repairer. And some targets are hard to close with - they engage at range and move quickly. Add in some missions you face range disruption that cut your ability to reach out and hurt someone it can feel miserable. Given I came from flying the likes of a Beam Apocalypse or a Tachyon Nightmare, that was a hard change.
I’d worry about trying them in a Vedmak, the ramp-up time is really going to hurt killing the big targets. The Tiglavian HAC, the Ikitursa, might be viable - I use one in the Abyss and I’ve learnt to respect it.
I agree with @Terry_Takahe - you can use any ship, the only really specialised mission ships are the Marauders, but any Battleship can handle a Level 4 mission with varying success, and each of the Empires have a good T1 mission battleship in the line (the Apocalypse for example is a very good mission ship). I use a Cruise Missile Typhoon as well and that works well.
It’s not about squeak the pips optimisation for mission running, it’s about enjoyment. I like relaxing and running missions in high-sec - a ship I like flying, tidy up after myself. Bliss.
I have Vedmak and Leshak thats why i asked, but after reading this i got it. Leshak is not best option cause of range. If you can share your apocalypse and Typhoon fit so i can save them.
I second the iki.
Some fits are here
This one
is very like the one I would fit. But maybe a MWD instead of the AB.
leshak should do alright, with 4 damage mods and 2 tracking comps it can do 1000 gun dps out to 28km. add in 4 sentries or heavies and it’s doing pretty competitive damage. That said you will kill most stuff before you can get any significant ramp up.
for sure decent options, plus the golem and barghest are both in the conversation with the torp buff.
Gonna show one that i used to use (no longer use, torp golem and barghest are AMAZING right now).
There’s a lot of ammo swapping on this fit to control the range. Ammo swap is instant, just try not to need a swap on a single target or the dps resets.
It runs every lvl 4, including storylines. I’ve never had an issue with it at all. Without implants, its not cap stable, but you can either run genos, or a em-805, and it’ll be stable with tank on, grapple working.
The nos is for decoration, dont take it seriously. You should put literally anything else in there.
It starts its dps over 900 for me, which is higher than you’d get out of cruise golems/ravens, or rail vindicators… SO–even at starting DPS it’s pretty fantastic. It’s WAY faster at most missions than a rattlesnake, slower than a machariel … it compares very well to something like a kronos, paladin, or or even vargur, but performs without bastion.
the MJD ensures everything is always within range, and if your tank were ever to take a crap (mine never has, stuff dies to fast), you can bail out. Consider the MJD a tanking mod, not a range mod.

Apocalyse.
This is my current Navy Apocalypse. You can build a similar style T1 Apocalypse - the main features are all there. It’s a lazy fit, the reactive hardener saves me changing the resists for each mission - I get north of 650dps at 40km, and a reasonable capacitor life. You could add bling/cost to it, It does the job rather than being perfect.

Typhoon
My Cruise Missile Typhoon - armour tanked. Reasonably lazy. Take the missile types you need for the mission. I normally don’t bother with faction missiles and rarely use the T2 missiles. The standard T1 missiles are nice and cheap and do the job.
As with any large missile mission ship, application against smaller targets (the frigates you’ll encounter) is always a bit of an issue: hence the Guidance Computer and the Target Painter. You could fit a webifier, but I’m usually engaging well beyond it’s range. The explosion velocity bonus they Typhoon has does help quite a bit: so train up Minmatar Battleships to a good level.
Missiles at range are always a headache - flight times over 80km or more are a bit long, and you’ll often waste a salvo if you just keep firing.
A reactive hardener again since I can never be bothered fitting the right hardeners for a mission. I’ve got a set I can use if I hit a mission I’m finding I take a lot more damage than I’d like to manage, but that’s rare.
Again: not perfect, but does the job.
