My launcher just comes back to me with a whitescreen and the error

The webpage at https://launcher.eveonline.com/release/3024/ might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.
ERR_CONTENT_DECODING_FAILED

If I C&P the address into my normal browser is loads a spinning cogwheel, which i assume means the adress is resolveable and reachable, but that a ‘normal’ web browser doesn’t react to it like the launcher would.

I have tried the usual deletion of QTwebcache or whatever it is that you see floated for launcher issues and that did not fix.

Obviously I have a ticket in but if anyone could suggest things to try to get me running in a shorter timeframe I’d be grateful.

NM, some advanced randomness has fixed this. I removed the QTweebengine folder again, ran the fix permissions script and it worked, although i had to relog in all my accounts.
