Hello,
i recently bought a new computer and installed EVE completely fresh on it.
I installed it in the recomended location and allowed it to download.
When i start the Launcher with Admin privileges everything works just fine and i can play the game as you would expect.
When i start the Launcher without Admin privileges it seems to check for updates and then requests Admin privileges to adjust the folder permissions (to my understanding).
It does not matter if i allow this or denie this, the Launcher will try again after about 3-5 seconds, meaning it gets stuck.
I would like to be able to run the Launcher/Game without Administrator privileges to not be forced to run Discord as Administrator too, since Discord will not allow you to use push to talk if you are in an Application running as Administrator.
Did I install the Game into a location where this is unavoidable? Is there some trick to this that I have not figured out?
I have the Shared Cache in:
C:\Program Files (x86)\CCP\EVE Online
and the request for Administrator Privileges has this in the details:
Programmpfad: “C:\Windows\system32\cmd.exe” /c icacls “C:\Program Files (x86)\CCP\EVE Online” /grant Everyone:(OI)(CI)F /T
I made a support ticket about this already but sadly the people responding where just unhelpful.
I would apprechiate any help.
Sadly creating this Topic I do not see any way to share share any files like a support payload from the launcher or i would do so too.
