Here is how you can Limit the FPS if the V-Sync/Interval Option does not work for you and your Graphic Card does not have an Option for Unfocused FPS. Sources to how I found all this will be at the end.
- Get RTSS (Rivatuner Statistivs Server), it can Limit the Max FPS independent of the Graphic Card you use.
- Deactivate the Options in AMD Adrenaline software for EVE.
- In RTSS you can add the Executable of eve. In my case, it is under “C:\CCP\EVE\tq\bin64\exefile.exe”.
- Then you can limit on the left side (in RTSS) the FPS under “Framerate Limit” (0 means no Limit).
This will Limit the Max FPS of the Client independent if it is focused or not and independent of V-Sync.
To limit the unfocused FPS, you Need to Change the Config you just created with adding eve to RTSS.
Go to the Folder you installed RTSS (That’s my path “C:\Program Files (x86)\RivaTuner Statistics Server\Profiles”). There you can find the Global config file and the EVE config file. In both, you can find a section with the Name “[Framerate]”. Add the following line to the EVE config file under this section to Limit the FPS to 30 if unfocused, “IdleLimitTime=33333”. The 33333 is in Microseconds, so the inverse of this time in seconds (1/0.033333) is around 30 FPS. For 10 FPS use 100000, for 20 FPS use 50000.
This will Limit the FPS when focused and not focused as Long as RTSS is running in the Background.
