Local Comms Blackout - Discussion Thread

Fortunately, I’m not new to EVE, which is why I understand that a large number of big bloc alliances actively used Local as a semi-automated earily warning system. The rule of conduct was this 'When you see a non-blue pop up in local, you post location that you spotted them, you linked their names, their alliance(If there was more than say five guys) and if you have eyes on. What their ship was.

So it looked liked this GGG(system) has Maria Dragoon, Bedlicka, Stef Darklighter: One Prowler, two unknowns

Then they go an look on killboards to see if you had any deaths or kills, so they can set up a reaction fleet fitted to counter your most used damage type, and ship type.

Big blocs get more positives from local, than losing it. I question if you ever been in a big alliance before, or if you are just fabricating things…Again.

If only they had a protected area that they could nurture and cultivate livestock in a safer manner. Therefor allowing more mature livestock to get havested, but still protecting those that may not be ready. Hmm, maybe even put an inbetween tank that isn’t as safe as the protected tank, but not as dangerous as the mature tank.

We could even do some kinda rating system with numbers to warn the livestock of what level of danger they are in.

Yes local was an intel tool. Everyone knows how it works.

Now, how did hunters know where to go and log off before this event, and which systems to go for ratters and miner kills?

Oh yeah… intel where they look at their maps, find routes to the systems that light up with npc kills and high industry indexes. Then bitch and moan when the defenders knew they were going to their destination THEY FOUND ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE GALAXY.

How retarded do you have to be to assume it’s good to see wherever people are but then knowing you’re coming is op?! how entitled and sheltered do you have to be to believe that you should be able to have all the cards AND play them too?

You say you lived in null. I doubt you did ■■■■ besides f1 on fleets when commanded because otherwise you’d have half a brain to decipher why one sided blanket changes are bad

I would like to think that CCP was playing this in their office when the update was going live.

I had ± 50 accounts in my “bot” contact labels, each were reported to CCP, 6 months ago. Now there is only 4 remaining. this means the 46 other have been deleted. And maybe the 4 remaining were not bots.

Thanks for confirming you never had any “effective ways” and was just talking out of your stupid butt with your feeling of entitlement to kill anything in a risk-free effort-free ways.

Keep at it and you’ll learn covert cyno mechanics, provided lazy risk-averse chicken ganktards overcome their fear of baits and do their 100% safe risk-free effort-free skill-free thing.

… They will attack you in a 100% safe risk free manner, but it may be bait which isn’t risk free… so the whole thing may be risky. that whole paragraph contradicts itself lol.
