Local Comms Blackout - Discussion Thread

Well, the good news is that after running 2k logins under last week throughout yesterday (DT -> DT), today, we are not.

The bad news: We’re running 3k under last week.

you know the ones that wants the no local in NS are the ones that wants more raiding and easier bullying. While they don’t realize it will cut into their “trumpian” fun also :). less rorqs out and miners will be less in general . less supers or carriers to rat… it will be counter productive to say the least. i have 5 omegas all paid for in cash… i don’t need 5 omegas if will be no local since i wont be simultaneously doing stuff, 2 should be enough maybe 3 but that’s pushing it. i don’t think i am bitter i have mixed emotions i been spending way too much time on eve anyway so it could be a good thing

how much is alpha I’m watching the situation?20%?30%?40%?

It takes 20 seconds for a squad of drones to get booshed away when stuff shows up on d-scan but 30 to pull drones.
The risk/reward doesnt add up, after all i’ve played over 2 years without touching industry

All ships i fly are subject to risks but im not dumb enough to fly a ship in a context that has practically zero chance of playing for itself before i loose it.
I also don’t fly billion isk Lokis to pop vnis, instead i kill those Lokis in a 250mil Hyperion.
And for ratting - Wormholes are safer and pay more, Highsec incursions are just as good as carrier ratting. So how does it make sense economically to ratt in null now?

Are you some sort of wallet warrior or whats wrong with you?

No way to know.

you have more than enough toons to create a good intel network; your here moaning because what you really want is to use other people to do that whilst your 5 toons sit and make isk in relative safety.
In blackout, more toons are more effective - just not for making you as much isk.

/me coughs command destroyers not bubble immune…

there is so much wrong with that statement i do not know where to begin, suffice to say; your wrong.

nor are they immune to a scripted scram from a Phobos w/Sebos in the mids.

I was in delve yesterday, only in a raptor - couldnt get into main systems though lol and to be frank; they didnt even have that much on the gates; i can only imagine for many goons blackout has been more fun than usual?

if you wanted to keep the game.Think about what you write.

Me either! I fly 2b isk Lokis as logistics.

Honestly, who cares how expensive someone’s ship is. Did it do the job? If so, it was worth the price. If not, it wasn’t. End of story.

It has. A Brave Cynabal gang just got a Ferox fleet to the face. We weren’t even looking for them, just on the way home from some housekeeping in Querious.

it wont affect me really only with less content. im not moaning. i am just stating the obvious. it might help eve economy but will cut into player numbers that will translate into less content for all… why don’t they just put jump gates into WHs then? or make more whs or a desperate region with permanent blackout and see how that will effect the bottom line. you can create content in any security. People that have enough disposable income could handle this better, if they choose that they want to. your response missed the point of the original post my friend.

Sounds like a reasonable number if the bots and some bears aren’t runnin’ anymore.

More than a worthwhile trade-off if it does something about the stagnancy.

That’s what CCP wants. gotta pay the bills somehow

if it would end like this(Blackout)end the whole eve and that is sad

just wait for the monthly economy report, it will show just how effective this super move by ccp to curb null sec botting is. ^^

Did you press F1 hard?

Im not even a ‘wallet warrior’ i can just make isk in any area of space with relative ease if i choose to or need the isk; some people are just greedy and want far more than they need - thats why some people have 12 rorq toons…
