Login background being horrendous

Forget cat ears, I want bunny ears, for my Guristas cosplay.

For those few seconds that bright login screen is active, parents everywhere will see that bright glow under the bedroom door at 2.00 am, knowing that their children are playing eve when they should be asleep

Stop living down to the stereotype of the gamer in their mom’s basement. Turn some lights on where you play, then bright screens aren’t such a shock to your eyes.

I agree with @Aisha_Katalen this background is hard on the eyes, but unless it is causing my nearby houseplants to have seizures, the art department will blow you off. Assuming you filed a claim? By the time any legit complaint – about how it put little Jimmy Jr. into a coma for 12 hours – gets processed, the event will be over.

I agree. My desk lamp produces at most 300 lumens and to have my monitor jump from dark to 720 lumens, puts my corner of the dimly lit room up between 900 to 1000 lumens. Somewhere around search and rescue operations.

I really can’t comment on the aesthetics of this background image, I suppose it takes all kinds to appreciate art? The person who made it was trying to convey, with the icy color palette, crystalline hex-patterns, and frost-like textures combine with a futuristic spacecraft. The ship is punching through an icy, shattered barrier, hints at an event where players break into new threats or territory. That is about all the positive I can say for the art.

Way too bright.

The event sites themselves are just as bright, if not brighter. Many PvE sites are just as bright. And nothing like jumping into a system, and your camera is pointed straight at the sun for brightness.
