SPACE IS WAAAY TOO BRIGHT!

this is stupid CCP. fix your game. of give us a option to make space darker. NO changing brightness of the full game is not a acceptable fix. You are so lazy when it come to adding the little things to your game.

Um…

EDIT: never mind. Just understood you don’t accept this as a solution. However, I don’t have such a blown-out problem, like you do. Maybe check you monitor settings. I can’t take a screenshot of how that looks like to me, I am not in Caldari space, but it looks perfectly normal on my game.

yeah, one of our corpmates hat this “problem” a few weeks ago. In the end we found he has all his monitor setting on 100%: brightness, contrast, backlight, HDR-white values and so on… A proper monitor calibration fixed everything.

Turn some lights on in the room. Having decent lighting in the room makes bright screens less painful.

You can always wear sunglasses when playing the game. You can even have your avatar wear one for added roleplay and immersion.

and a Motorcycle helmet with dark tinted visor on top of the sunglasses! For real space pilot feeling

The game would look better if they decreased the brightness - it doesn’t look anything like what you might expect (ie: black space with stars).

Lies!

Around the earth is a black velvet curtain with little holes in it, and behind that it’s all bright and colorful! And those holes are the “stars” from which some madmen claim they would be some kind of “fireballs”, millions of km in diameter holding together by their own mass… totally ridiculous!

Caldari skybox is disproportionally bright (and painful on the eyes) for no real reason. They can tone it down to be more in line with the other factions, stop defending bad CCP behaviour.

Or you can take 2 seconds and turn down the gamma and brightness on your monitor…

No it’s not…it’s you who can not set the game properly….

you have your brightness turned all the way down and its still too bright LMAO. why are you hiding your modules? what a dumb post.

monitor setting have no effect on screenshots smart one.

I am in a shuttle.

If you take an OS screenshot, they do.

^granted that’s an AI answer, so I am not sure how true that is.

My monitor brightness is at 100% (which doesn’t affect screenshot). EVE native brightness is around 50%, as can be seen from my first reply to you.

Have you ever been to space? It’s black, bro.

Wear sunglasses.

That brings up a good idea. Is CCP able to purchase 3D glasses to view the environment in 3D?

I demand snow goggles!

@Akeem_Jahrastamon I noticed on your screenshot there is a wightstorm effect. It was not there when I was in the system, so my screenshot is not an adequate comparison. My apologies. I’m not going back to Caldari space right now just to take another screenshot though. Will check it next time I’m there or maybe someone else will be in the area before.
