Sun glare makes you blind to everything. need to have the option to disable it. like 10 years ago. Comon CCP
THIS
Have you been to Amarr lately?
Yeah, it’s really bad in Minmatar space.
Anyway, this issue has been raised in a few different threads. I think everybody should submit bug reports with a bunch of screenshots of the glare, maybe that will get CCP’s attention.
But then i wont have the excuse “the sun was in my eyes” when i lose a fight.
Have you tried wearing sunglasses?
I tried that, but I’d forget to take them off and stumble over one of mom’s cats in the dark on my way out of the basement to get hotpockets.
Oh come on, without glare how would we know that space really has atmosphere?
+1
Im am more than positive that a space vessel capable of interstellar travel would have any number of options to reducing the glare of a star. UV blocking, imaging adaptive optics, etcetera. I mean we have those technologies now.
Those were lost when the Eve Gate collapsed.
I WASNT GOING TO POST ON FORUMS TODAY BUT I SAW THE CAPS AND CHANGED MY MIND. SUN GLARE BAD OMEGALUL
It’s nothing wrong with it…
Don’t repair something that is not broken…
it’s a feckin star, it’s meant to be bright! lol
We had the necessary technology during the Apollo missions.
What we didn’t have, and still don’t, is luminiferous aether permeating space.
(Some of the SciFi aspects in EVE are seriously deficient)
It’s also annoying as heck when you jump and then end up upside down in the middle of the brightest part of whatever system you’re in. I think its intentional, to jar players awake and extend their playing time.
Now, all this brightness wouldn’t be there except to see all those expensive, fancy skins you naively purchased at the NES store, would it? Nah, no one would believe that, or would they??!?
I’m finding that I cannot play unless I put in eyedrops, and again when I begin to salvage or mine. I used to wake up with my eyes burning, and it would take 30 minutes for them to calm down. Even with the Nite Light enabled on windows.
How 'bout a window tinting module for the high slots? Now that I’d pay big isk for…
I find myself turning the camera away from the suns glare and pointng the view towards a darker area space if you can find one in a gaseous mission plex that really hurts the eyes. Some of them are unplayable, its that bad.
About the only time I get to look at my Golem’s shiny new skin is when docked because of stupid glare.
It’s a star,it’s bright.
Case closed.
Dude, how long have you been playing this game?
The graphic effects of suns was never this bad before. CCP’s recent upgrade to the suns graphics has overly boosted the glare so much that it’s almost impossible to see anything else on-screen.
That’s just shoddy work and there’s no excuse for it whatsoever. The Dev who did it should have checked it first before implementing it in-game.
I just think that those inconviniences are stupidly irrelevant regarding to bigger problems like the player loss f.e.
One can think about those first world problems AFTER the major problems this game has are solved, maybe in 1-2 years but NOT now…
I’m sure they can easily adjust the glare from the suns without spending a lot of time and resources to do it. This is a QoL change that would make the game play experience much more enjoyable.
The issue here is that some Dev thought it was a good idea to boost the glare from suns and sold that idea to upper management, probably in order to justify his employment at CCP. They should have checked their work first before implementing it into the game. The fact that they didn’t do it tells me the current Dev team is bottom level programmers who should be fired.
