Logout of Eve client causes Mac to logout

I have a 2019 MacBook Pro running OS X Mojave (10.14.6). Radeon Pro 560X graphics card. Gameplay itself seems to be fine, more or less.

However, when I log off the game, my screen goes black for a bit (5-10 seconds?) and then I’m back on the OS X login page. I can log back in and all seems fine. At first I thought maybe the system was rebooting, but when I check uptime in Terminal it indicates the computer has been on for hours.

Anyone else experience this? It’s really annoying!

FYI this happens with or without 64-bit client enabled.
