Well that’s because after that 1min timer is up, you now cannot cloak, because you’re within 2000m of the drones/cans/etc.
Good times

How many lowsec gate camps were you an active part of?
Please explain the massive amount of spam around gates, which can not actually be explained by incoming ships at all, because it would not actually help shooting down these ships? No, it wouldn’t at all. In no way or form. They warp in, arrive at the gate and jump. Being decloaked changes nothing, it would still be the same for every other ship.
When there’s only one way ships can come from, why are the gates still surrounded by litter?
Do you understand that theory and practise are not the same at all and that experience trumps everything?
No, the above doesn’t mean he warped in onto the gate because if he had done so he could not have cloaked anyway due to the fact that he would have been too close to the gate.

Man, this makes it look like you guys ARE WRONG! Wow!
Who would have thought! I am SHOCKED! SHOCKED I TELL YOU!
Amazing. Others have already explained how it works, why they do it, and you want to keep believing and repeating the same…
The gate cloak invulnerability lasts 1 min, not forever, you still have to somehow get out of there when it’s over, you know. That’s when anything that may be around you comes into play, not before you exit gate cloak. What anything within 2000m of you does is prevent you from being able to manually cloak after exiting gate cloak, not decloak you right after jumping.
And you don’t have to go low sec to check that. I warp cloaked all the time and this happens in high sec every now and then. Sometimes I exit gate within 2000m of a ■■■■■■■ billboard, or a CONCORD drone, or some other ship that happens to be at the very same spot. It’s only when I initiate warp and try to cloak that I have the problem.
From your own evidence:
“So many so that you’re guaranteed to be too close to an object to cloak up.”
C’mon man, I bolded the important bit, but you’re not this dumb, seriously? But ok, to answer your points:
A few, you can check my KB, most kills with G.I.S. on em are low sec camps (Messoya/Otosela).
Huh? The ‘stuff’ is dropped ~12km off the gate, all over the place, because that’s where ships spawn when they enter a system. It’s to catch things leaving that gate.
Heh, it’s a gate, which has to have two sides, so there’s always two ways ships can come from.
Lol, so lets see your experience then?
lol, nope, just looks like your wrong… and angry, y u hafta b mad?

Okay! OKAY!
I’m going to try this myself, record it and post it here!
I have no issue with being wrong, okay?
The reason why I’m so insistant is because I once got decloaked by gate spam myself
and I’m absolutely sure that that was what happened, therefore I’m not budging!
At least I’m trying to find evidence!
Also, if anyone knows how to get Geforce Experience recordings to take less space,
feel free to let me know! At the lowest settings I still get around a gig per minute.
I applaud your dedication But iirc it can be a complete pain to setup (orbit gate @12km dropping bookmarks/ammo/etc whenever your ‘jettison timer’ is up) to cover (basically) the entire gate so you’ll know for sure when jumping in you’ll land on something… or… partially cover the gate and hope when you jump in RNG is with you and you’ll land on something… good luck!
FYI, I did recently pass through a system in Vale of the Silent (NFM- maybe but definitely between there and Q-R) where the local inhabitants already had the gate prep’d for this exact thing. Not sure if it’s a permanent feature or not, but may be worth a shot if you don’t mind testing on the live server.

Cypr3ss.
Nah, I don’t mind! I love this!
It’s FOR SCIENCE!
Can only get to it tomorrow, though.
So many other things to do and so little time!
Actually, testing this is very easy. Have an alt (or a friend) in fleet warp to you right after jumping, and deploy drones to be sure just in case he doesn’t land within 2000m.
That’s all fine and well but here is some advice…use your map before going anywhere.
It has a ton of filters that are invaluable to getting around space. You can filter for Ships Killed in Last Hour…if there is a bunch of kills AND it’s a chokepoint or border crossing between sec status…chances are high it’s a camp and not just a random clash. Also look at Capsules Destroyed in Last Hour. If it’s low sec where there aren’t any bubbles- lots of dead capsules could mean smart bombing camps.
You can filter for number of jumps as well just to get a feel of traffic. If it has a ton of traffic, you increase your risk of running into someone hostile.
You can avoid certain systems on the map to re-route your trip accordingly.
The map is just super handy and too many players stumble around blindly.
I’d like to add some web-sites to that valid recommendation - none of which I have any involvement with, but all of which I use before I move any significant distance in Eve.
Dotlan enter a system name and it shows you a map of the region that system is in, with information available about kills in the last hour or the last 24, same for jumps, security level of each system, Resources and services etc. You can dig down to comprehensive information about particular systems too.
zKillboard enter a character, system or corporation name and it will give you information on previous kills by or on that character, and the kill history of systems and corporations. Useful if, for instance, you see a lot of kills on a system in the map and want to know what they are (npc’s perhaps, or a lot of dead mining ships would suggest that the action is in an ore or ice belt and the system should be safe to just travel through).
EVE Gatecamp Check enter the starting and ending systems of your journey, and it will examine the route for kills and, particularly, gatecamp kills. If there’s a particularly dangerous system on your proposed route you can set it as ‘to be avoided’ and it will proffer an alternative route instead.
There’s one other related site I’d recommend - EveMarketer Your Regional market is restricted to just your own region. You’ll often find that stuff is available in other regions, and is both cheaper and closer than your own region’s offerings. EveMarketer in its various modes (e.g. Price, Jumps) will often find these for you.
Bear in mind that these are NOT Eve-provided sites, and may therefore contain incomplete or out-of-date information - but they prove right far more often than they mislead.
Can spam is to stop covert cloaks or mwd cloaks, they can’t recloak after moving and that gets them killed. It has nothing to do with gate cloak. Educate yourself. I can’t believe I’m replying to this again.
Wow, you require telling me again to get it out of your system!
You’re quite the insecure ass, Sepheir!
I’m still going to record it once I get the time to do it.
This weekend was super busy (Mothers’ day!) and I have to catch up on a lot of things first.
I am looking forward to it.
Still didn’t log on.
I’m on … uh … holiday.
Actually my first in the last 13 years.
Booked a flight to a friend, in bulgaria and went off the same day.
Needed a change of air.
I hate flying. Never flown before. What a horror.
Not much on my notebook.
Drinking disgusting coffee right now.
Disgusting.
Jacobs Monarch.
Seriously.
Disgusting.
What a sad excuse of a coffee.
I could rant about it all ■■■■■■■ day.
I will get to do this video.
Not going to try to weasel myself out of it.
Just weird circumstances lately.
Sorry about that.
I suppose I can forgive the delay… IF you bring me back something nice
Also reminds me of a joke I once heard…
Garbage man says to the guy on the corner, “Hey, where’s ya bin”
Guy says “Oh, um, I’ve been on Holiday!”
Garbage man says “Nooo, where’s ya Wheely Bin”
Guy says “Ahh, ok, I’ve really bin in jail, but I tell people I’ve been on Holiday”
Ba-dom ching!
Regards,
Cypr3ss.
I DON’T GET THE JOKE!
LOL, probably just an Aussie thing… we have “wheelie bins” here (i don’t know how it’s spelt), which are tall rubbish bins with, ahh, wheels on em (to make it easier to move around for pick-up). I guess knowing that may help in finding the humour
Regards,
Cypr3ss.
But why would the garbage man ask a regular guy,
instead of the regular guy asking the garbage man?
I blame this bad coffee. *points*
I can blame everything today on this bad Jacob Monarch coffee.
Yay, valid excuses!
Lol, cause it’s the garbage mans job to pick-up and empty the bins, which he can’t do if it isn’t on corner/curb to be collected
It’s probably just the coffee!!
Regards,
Cypr3ss.
Tried some other coffee.
KENCO MILLICANO, AMERICANO INTENSE.
Dark roast, which means it’s light.
Tell you what … tastes just as ■■■■.
Instant coffee sucks monkey balls, really. -.-
Now I feel bad for all the poor, exploited people who work their asses off for minimum wage (or less) just to have all their hard work ending up in horrible instant coffee.
