Losing the mouse in bright areas

Hey guys, i just posted a forum on this to see how many other pilots can releate to this problem.

I have played for almost 8 years and i still run into the same problem i did way back when i started, in highly lit or bright areas like Amarr space sometimes i lose the mouse pointer in the brightness because it is white it camoflauges in with the background, sure you can change the size of the mouse but it becomes ridiculously huge and loses that real life feel that Eve worked hard to incorporate.

So my idea is nothing fancy or out of reach it is simply adding a colour wheel to the settings of the pointer, being able to contrast say.. a red pointer in bright white and yellow Amarr space would allow the pilot to never lose the pointer resulting in a few critical seconds of wiggling the mouse around to find it again when you are being hunted down by a dozen or so ships. This would be a very simple fix to a very important problem and would look pretty cool as well, it would aslo compliment the colour changes you can do with the UI and menu.

But mainly i would have to cop another 15% damage while i try to locate which cloud my mouse has hidden itself into.

let em know what you guys think and keep up the good work, this is one game i never get sick of.

And yet both happened up in the wrong place? “general discussion”

colour seeing how ccp has been adding it to everything else sure.

As for making it more “see’able” idk… brightness in some areas / some view angles has sucked for a a long time? (usually more so on higher graphics…and eve is aging… so running on high is normal even if boxing a few?)

You could try one of those apps that create a circle around your cursor to find it when you press Ctrl.

It’s a common Windows setting.

While I rarely ever lose my cursor in EVE, if I do lose my cursor in other situations I tend to wiggle my mouse a bit. It’s much easier to notice the movement of the cursor than to find a tiny stationary thing.

I am a big, colourful pointer enjoyer and I highly support this message
