If one day, after no sleep because of 46 degrees, I make the error to undock my Marauder, then see only 9 guys, all flagged RED in my system, I warp to another mission, then warp to my mission, then I see the 5 min alarm, and I should quit immediately, but before I can warp off, 9 RED guys popped into my system, and 10secs later, they are ON ME. I had just started the Marauder Bastion STOP sequence to warp out.
Now my Bastion WILL STOP, and I will lose precious time for surviving.
The Bastion delay reactivation when it finish cycling, and that delay it’s enough to put me into structure.
Marauders and Bastions have been a long talk for YEARS, like 20 years. Like everything that is EVE, it will be talked about.
Many just declare defeat, abandon the game, the thread, whatever.
Because winning a battle like the 100% Plate now labeled not just “part of the evolution of one of the best ships in EVEm that contributed to its revival, return of happy player” etc. " now it’s “an error”…

I petitioned for the End of Glass Cannons T2 Marauders ever since I started playing EVE, and first bought my VARGUR.
IT was 2013. I only started playing in 2010. SO three years. The Bastion was there.
It lasted me maybe a week?
So fr the next 7 years I petitioned to get something to protect us.
I Only bought a GOLEM back in 2020, when these new rules arrived.
Now it’s been what, 3 years that the plate Bonus is gone???
We’ve been using our Marauders all this time on borrowed luck.
I hade THREE MARAUDERS. I SOLD ALL BUT ONE.
We will keep coming back.
Years after years.
Demanding what we feel is right for them.

And how it was completely unsustainable for any of us not inside a BIG CORP, to have fun.

after they bonus has been taken out, by a Solo Pilot, in HS (0-9:0-5), with no hidden boosts.

Tell me Anna, when the Freighters got problems with the capsule weapon, how much time it passed before they nerfed the weapon? And now they also have the Breach control?
A Week? A Month?
Freighters are part of the BIG corp that run Eve economy.
Marauders and Black Ops were used, outside solo missions, to protect Big Corp assets, but
it also gave power to small corp to disrupt some of these big powers and grow a bit.
Why are Freighters so special?

Marauders PVP Multiboxing was becoming a problem.

Solo Mission Marauders have never been a problem. Never.
But it’s them impacted the most.
Can you, Anna, show me ONE Marauder survival from a gank attack in the last three years?
Or to this day, my Golem survival thread, is the only proof ever produced that the changes where effectives for us solo players? Remember the key word; Solo players, HS, and 10-15+ gank, with no outside help/boost.
That Survival wasn’t an “error”… it was a Massive “success”… how could the plot twist 180 degrees so unsuspiciously???
Maybe try to put it into another perspective?
Have you thought what will ever happen if you put up a Fortizar and it is killed with all your stuff in it the next day? Will you have a heart attack?
It was discussed upwards in this thread already. The biggest tool is not per definition the best suited tool. Use the right tool for the task. Use an affordable tool for the task. Use a suitable equipped tool for the task. Use a tool that you can lose without thinking twice, where your income doesn’t depend on it, that you can replace easily.
Or if all that is not possible - because you just don’t accept it - then do your research and find another quieter region where you don’t face the events you want to avoid.
You are a single player and as such have to approach the game in a suitable manner for it to work out.
The issue there wasn’t the freighters, it was how asinine an idea breaching pods are. Marauders getting ganked on the other hand isn’t an issue, they can be fitted with adequate tank and cheap gear to make them unprofitable to go after (though in your case it could be entirely unfit and people would still gank you just because of how salty it makes you).
No, only the tiny minority of marauders which get ganked produce killmails. The majority of them survive just fine, and are thus not on zkill for me to link you.

I’ve never known, a Solo player, owning a Fortizar.
Tax the rich. Don’t mess with the poors. Because when they can not afford to pay food.
They will have just two simple choices. Starve to death. Or Leave.

You can’t proof nothing, that’s it. This is the reality.
There is no casual survivor with no video proof of some Killmail of sort on Zkill because it never happened once. The rest is talk.

maybe allow assault damage controls to be fitted to marauders
gankers go after them with cheap fits because its usually a 1b isk kill and looks good on thier padded zk
Gesus H christ, it’s not that difficult. I found one from July 30 this year within a few minutes:
You don’t need elaborate videos as proof. What you do is go on zkill, and search for ‘Golem’, for example. You wanna only look at the kills and not losses, because you are looking for a gank survivor. Then you further filter for high sec kills. When you find a high sec kill (and NOT a loss at the same time) by a Golem (or any other marauder) with CONCORD also on it, that’s your gank survivor.
That’s still only going to be the small fraction of them that lock and return fire. Most will simply wait for CONCORD to handle the situation.
Of course, but he wanted ‘‘one marauder survivor’’ from the last 3 years. I produced one from the last 10 days. Guy can’t fugure out how to search the internet and asks for some proof in the video form, when it’s all there.

Why is that? That Aiko Solo Kill could have been just one lonely kill. Zkill gives zero info about Aiko formation, or that Golem had any assist.
With yt- you can’t go wrong.
And if someone survived, thee would be a video a bout it.
And has anybody already forgot the Varidian Nerf?
That was a tuff one, especially made for NON-mission runner,
but that impacted Solo Mission runner also, before the final nail in the coffin
The infamous EHP PLATE 100% nerf. These two combined annihilated what little chance of
survival we had left.
It was a Massive mistake.
And it’s been too long now that we are running on empty.
Hateless explains really well that with this change Marauders sensor strenght will take a big hit, that means that Marauders will be way easier to scan down in all situations.
Also Ewar resistance going down by a lot means now every Mission with ECm and EWAR frigs of BS, will unlock all your enemies, further adding to the tine it would take to complete a mission. Then the cycle brought to 60sec. Three big factors that directly help out gankers have more time getting an easier lock on you. And lastly agility, and this time to align and warp out, with double the mass.
All of these have been Massive nerfs. And nothing has been done to contrast the gankers ability to get to you faster then ever. Gates locks was just a small proposition that would have helped a lot. But nothing has been done, as literally we don’t exist.
When was the last time, or did you ever read the ToS for EVE ??
