same, it says that it is starting up in 5s when I hit connect
Also kind of frustrated that the server seems to have been closed already. This was my first opportunity to hop on with this test.
Are we already on Monday?
Singularity DOES “remain open”, it just won’t allow us to log in.
Hey!
Earlier this morning Singularity went through a scheduled downtime and it hasn’t recovered. The Singularity hamsters aren’t as resilient as the TQ ones.
We’re looking into it and will try to have it up as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding!
Singularity is back up and accepting connections.
thx for the update
thx for fix
@CCP_Swift
Hello,
is this GPU improvement set related to a (soon™) implementation of FSR3… or any more advanced than FSR1? I mean, its 2025…
Yesterday during the test, I had the vsync on, so it was all stable at 75fps as per my monitor limit. That is also what I use on TQ. I only checked for highest quality, didn’t think about vsync…
Just now, I switch vsync off and get :
TQ Idle in station: 470-480fps most of the time, don’t go much below 430, nor much above 485fps
Sisi idle in station: Much less stable, with go as low as 420 and as high as 510fps
Same ship, same skin, similar caldari station.
Geforce RTX 4070 TI Super
1080p screen…
Edit:
In space, fully zoomed in. (stand still, same ship, same skin, similar camera angle)
TQ (The Citadel): most of the time 275 +/- 10fps
Sisi (Lonetrek): again, fps fluctuates more, in the range of 220-280, but have some stable periods around 250-260 fps.
I’m running Eve on PopOS 22.204 with Bottles using Caffe-9.7 and dxvk-2.5.2, switched to DX12 on the Singularity server, and was able to login, run around in space etc… did not notice any issues.
I’m running an AMD Ryzen 9 5950X and AMD RX 6900 XT.
Ah thank you, I didn’t get a chance to test it but it appears my DXVK was out of date. I’ll have to check again next time the server is up.
Test environment:
CPU: i7-13620H
RAM: DDR4 3200MHz 8+8GB
GPU: RTX 4060 Laptop 8GB
All High quality, new rendering technology enabled, AMD FSR 1.0 (Very high) enabled.
During the test, I clearly felt the FPS improvement, especially in the ship hangar in Upwell Space Station, which was only 40 FPS before the new rendering technology was enabled, and it was able to reach 60 FPS after it was enabled. When I warped close to the Keepstar where many people gathered, its FPS was also stable at around 60~80 FPS. Because I don’t often open multiple characters, I don’t pay much attention to the CPU usage, but I noticed in the test that the CPU usage only fluctuated around 20%~30%.
There is a problem that has existed for a long time: before Warp to a place with a building model, there will still be a sudden drop in FPS, which makes the screen suddenly stutter, which is unpleasant.
I really enjoyed this test because the server provided a large number of Large Skill Injectors, which allowed me to complete my wish of using Capital for large-scale battles, and completed the CONCORD Rogue Analysis Beacon for the first time.
In addition to these, I am more looking forward to the launch of super-resolution technology, which will surely achieve amazing game rendering effects and optimize the frame rate experience in large-scale battles with the new rendering technology.
Singularity still online ?
no, it went offline march 3.
if you tried to log in to SiSi from the launcher you would see this.
I had this happen a few months ago. For me, it was because I set my virus scanner to scan large archives, and set it to archives 500mb and less. Something like this might be the case for you as well? PS: I had to figure it out myself. Got the usual useless questions from customer support lol
