I have seen nothing but handwaving and ad hominem remarks here. For me, it’s still a plausible theory - not misinformation. It may be wrong but I’m sure it was not created intentionally.
People have always tried to make sense of the world around them with incomplete information. That’s just how things are and have always been. No “age of misinformation” here - just more information.
The term didn’t even exist in this context when I took my business course, more years ago than I care to remember (it was instead the poor sod who held the fence-post whilst someone whacked it with a sledgehammer). What’s the business-course definition of it these days ?
So, for instance, prisoners in a prison are ‘stakeholders’ in the organisation that runs the prison ?
I suppose it’s all ‘marketspeak’ anyway - the curse of modern culture…
As CCP Rise said in response to this specific allegation on Talking in Stations last week, if they wanted to juice the numbers to hit some kind of target, they’d not have done the local blackout or the cyno changes - they have a variety of much scummier things they can do to get folks buying extractors and plex (like running sales, changing in game skill requirements to make them higher to force people to inject, etc). They aren’t doing that.
The changes they’re making are likely going to be short term negative, which is the opposite of what they’d be doing if these rumors were true.
Regardless, even if the CSM is able to get this kind of information (which they likely are not), they couldn’t share it with anybody.
