Microstructures for supporting exploration

When exploring, you tend to run into shortages of things like ammo and drones. Imagine something like a microRaitaru/Athanor hybrid that can be deployed, stuffed with minerals, and will then churn out ammunition, drones and other small consumable items. I’d propose that the player could log and leave the deployable in space rather than sit there and babysit it. Of course, when you logged back in it may well no longer be there. Blingier models could reduce processing time and mineral costs, allow t2 ammo/drone production, be harder to scan down, stuff like that.

The microAthanor feature would allow an explorer to turn processable ores into minerals

um POS exists
plus theres mobile depots

POSes exist, are cheap, and much less risk to deploy and take down than a station.

  • Stick - 125mil ISK, 2000m3 for a small. Double those numbers for a medium stick.
  • Personal Hangar Array (giant storage can for materials/finished product) - 20mil ISK, 4000m3
  • Save stick CPU/PG by not taking a Ship Maintenance Array. A Mobile Depot would let you refit from the Hangar Array and an explorer shouldn’t need to park a bunch of ships.
  • Ammunition Assembly Array and Drone Assembly Array (what you’re asking for here) - 80-90mil ISK, 1250m3 each.

So, not including fuel for the stick or materials to make drones/ammo, you’re looking at less than 400mil for a small POS that will fit in a Blockade Runner and can be up and running in under 30 minutes. More importantly, it can be taken down in the same amount of time, allowing you to save it from hostiles if you have enough warning.
