Mission Love Where is it CCP

Good evening
I have been playing this game for almost 2 decades on and off.
While I see updates over and over
I see upgrades
But we are stuck on giving Nullsec even more love
Which would be fine
But for over a decade I have seen thread after thread about.
Missions
LVL 4
You have kept it the same missions
Same loot
You add lvl 5 but put in 0.4 and below knowing that a mission setup can’t go against a PVP setup
Missions deserve so much new love to this game.
It isn’t like Dev’s don’t hear this over and over but choose to ignore it time and time and time again.
You could do some of the following
Add better loot to mission drops
Say certain chance to get some rare loot
Move lvl 5 to 0.5 and up
Add new missions not just add to lvl 2
You would think CCP would care just a little about mission runners as there is a lot of them.
But it seems our cash isn’t as high as null sec players so we get no attention
When this game came out I know for a fact a issue that you have heard a million times is the mouse pointer.
When your in a lighted area finding the pointer is a huge problem
But you have done nothing to fix this issue when it would be a easy fix
You could add a feature that allowed players to change the color of the pointer.
These 2 issues CCP has known but ignores for 2 decades
When they do add new
LVL 5 they put in a area only certain corps can do the missions.
Like to see CCP answer this post and explain to all the mission runners why they continue to ignore our requests
Why they have never fixed the mouse pointer
You have updated this game how many times in 20 years what 37 times
But never addressed your mission players or fixed the mouse pointer.
WHY ?
Do we not spend enough to get your attention.
Thank You

People don’t run missions in player owned Null so the null lobby CSM doesn’t push it. It’s actually in their best interest to stifle and downplay non-null issues as that will make people go to null so they get more clone soldiers, money, power and “interesting business opportunities”.

EVE needs less PvE, not more. I truly don’t see the point of logging into a massive multi-player game to fight NPCs.

Mission runners have been very vocal (with their wallets) in the past that they don’t want any changes, even the addition of burner missions were met with subscription losses. These are often parents and other casual gamers that don’t have a lot of time, but still buy Omega so during downtime of their busy days, they can log in and do some easy missions, no prep needed, easy stuff that people can just turn their brain off. So instead CCP has left missions alone and added other ways to PVE, such as Abyssals, Homefronts, etc.

Is your opinion worth more than his?

EVE needs more reasons to be in space that are engaging, profitable and fun. Missions get people into space, create engaging environments to make ISK and potentially even engage other people in PVP. Missions are way more engaging and entertaining than shooting structures for 20 minutes. They are also more engaging than these dumb Freelance Exploits.

CCP knows how to make traditional missions, they did it a few times a few years ago, and Dread Pirate Scarlet was a massive success, while it also introduced fun quirks like the shortcut option when you kill Scarlet early. Compared to the ever same copy-pasta Homefronts, Abyssals or other new PVE crap, missions have depth, variety and character.

Definitely. All 18 of me is worth more. I single handedly keep EVE going.

I am happy you need 18 accounts.
But you most likely do the same things day in and day out.
If that works for you then I say have fun with it.
But as pointed out there are others who deserve just as much attention to the things they enjoy doing.
Take scanning:Same thing over and over
Abyss:Boring and loot sucks
Missions do offer different things to do for them who don’t have or need 18 accounts to try and enjoy the game.
Whole point of this post is simple.
CCP has ignored mission players (Like it or don’t) for 2 decades
Not seeing anyone question the mouse pointer

Getting escalations from missions would be great start. But lot of the missions and escalations need some fine tuning  Could even add a few new escalations? Not neccerily harder than the current ones but for some variety. By the way whats up with the acceleration gates? Its the same model every time and ships can get stuck on it and they have a silly ring around them. Why not make it a thin model and rename it to Acceleration Rail. And then add a small variety of models for it. Why not?

I see PVE & Missions as a stepping stone to PvP. You do the missions to make enough isk to buy the ships and fits you want to go pew pew others with.
It’s the whole Yin/Yang thing I guess.

In a recent Oz interview, they basically alluded to the fact that they have no plans to overhaul missions. They said it was always a possibility, but I didn’t get the impression it would really be given more than a passing thought…

No, you can’t have level 5 missions in highsec safety. And quite frankly, you don’t want that. All the LP printed would massively devalue that LP. The end result would be people who already do L5s mad (because you nuked their cash cow) and people who do level 4s mad (because now they make less for the same work). Yes, you’re not going to win a pvp confrontation. This means that instead of planning to fight gankers, you need to plan to avoid them.

Maybe because the RL Rich Players Characters are living there.

Try inviting Elon musk to play in Highsec.

It’s a valid point - but one could also make the argument that anytime null income drops, they not only buff it but nerf other areas (high-sec and low-sec mining, for example).

As much fun as L5s in high-sec would be, there’s probably more downside than upside. And it would be one less reason to venture into low-sec.

If low-sec wasn’t such a basket of snakes they’d actually attract more players (the image of a snake consuming its own tail comes to mind).

When I started playing 2 decades ago
I spent a couple years in low sec and null sec areas
Every day your fighting someone
The rewards are high in low sec null
But it gets stressful
Thats why I moved back to high sec
You can still get killed but not as often
Just feel they could do more for mission players and fix the mouse pointer issue
As normal DEVS don’t reply to these posts
I know Low sec and Null players could give a rats butt if mission are ever improved
Null got a whole patch upgrade just for them this time
Think it time CCP opens there eyes and gives mission players a little love thats all I am asking

I agree.

But null blocks own CCP.

CCP only responds to pressure. Its either really stupid or really smart.

Isnt the mission rewards lower if you do them in high sec?

Wait there’s PVE?

To be fair, adding mobile tractor units was a pretty big buff to L4’s no?

If they want easier and quick missions they can drop down a lvl or 2, I do for the dailies.
