Mission Tengu?

So I got used to running fast with my MWD Typhoon, and switching to the short range slower Tengu feels weird. I mocked up the following fit for it (pure PvE), but now I’m worried that the tank will not be enough with a bloomed sig. What do you think? Seems like the same tank size as on my Typhoon, so should work theoretically?

TBH I would go afterburner vs MWD. Depending on how much you want to spend you can get up to around 700m/s. Slower than the MWD but you can more easily sig tank, and you are still getting almost 60KM range with javelins.

It also allows you to drop all your cap mods except 1 CCC rig and remain cap stable. That gives you 2 more mids for either tank or damage as well as one more rig slot.

This one doesn’t give you any resistance benefits. Does your fit run into cpu problems?

If I may, I’d suggest replacing the domination one for a c-type either gistum or pithum or a dread guristas one.
Either of them should give plenty of improved tank for pve.

Don’t use a b-type or a-type, those are too expensive and they would just ask for being ganked.

Good point, @elitatwo. That’s the one I have from my previous fit (where it was necessary to fit everything with my skills)

you can, but the range and damage just aren’t great. considering torps just got a nice buff seems like the wrong way to be going.

also a medium shield booster and a cap battery is probably a better use of slots, rather than all those cap rechargers+cccs. and if you want more ehp/s can always do solidifiers.

lastly I’d probably swap from the fuel catalyst which has a big AB bonus doesn’t do much for MWDs for the chassis optimization, I’d rather have the general speed/agility buffs plus swaps a mid for an extra low

I’m confused – torpedo launchers on a Tengu?

I think that means stick with Typhoon regarding the torpedo buff.

probably not the typhoon, but a BS hull for sure. Raven hulls with the velocity bonus are a great cheap option, barghest for the shiny.

Well the relevant point was I doubt she was talking about Torps on a Tengu :slight_smile:
And I mentioned Typhoon as it was what the OP mentioned.

I tried it, and it works like a charm. With my skills I get 845 DPS, 315eHP/s tank, 1353 speed, cap stable

I’ve used following config (~880 DPS with Rage missiles/ ~800 HP shield boost rate/ 1450 speed ). Cap stable, but might require CPU and Cap implants . LVL4 + Escalations. Safe to go through low sec. Some how it’s useless against Edencom ships. HAMs need to be replaced for HMs with precision charges to effectively dealing with Edencom.
