I think one major issue is that people want to solo and Eve isn’t a solo game. Once people have a little more knowledge they don’t mind grouping with others but its embarrassing to be that guy that doesn’t know anything. In Eve there is really no way to learn things except or going out and getting the crap kicked out of you and that’s really not fun. Sure those early fights may be exciting but losing sucks, especially when you didn’t have a chance.
I think that there should be a true starting area, like N-space, no way in just ways out. Asteroids to mine, sites to scan and hack, rats to kill, stuff to build, and of course other players to murder. Players can stay here for 60 days from date of character creation and 90 days after account creation. Once your time runs out your stuff goes into asset safety and is moved to one of the current starting systems. If you chose to leave this N-space area on day one that is up to you but its one way.
Hang out in BWF-ZZ, N-RAEL, Tama or any wormhole. I assure you, local won’t worry you, and you will find some fights. They might not be “fair”, but you will find them.
How so? I was simply telling the OP where to find fights since he can’t seem to locate them. It’s pretty simple, check the map, cross reference zkillboard and go from there.
I get the feeling the OP is upset they can’t pad their stat board with a large number of T1 noob frig kills versus inexperienced pilots. [slow clap]
Play there’s a few ways we can fix this
Number one
come down to players themselves explaining the other players especially code the actual reason they gave them it just part of the game play don’t take it personal but they don’t tell them that they just pushed mining permits which is a joke we all know after playing for more than 6 months if you get to that point.
the intro player tutorial probably could consist of more YouTube videos explaining things better because people seem to understand that the easiest in this generation.
And explain to them but Eve online is a progressive overtime game it’s a long-term game not a short-term even if you got bookoo money you ain’t going to be to fly a Titan your first day without losing it.
I think maybe this is starting to regular Corporation Corporation to volunteer to take on brand new players and teach them the ropes instead of having an NPC Corporation I think a player ran Corporation could teach them better
But there probably have to be some criteria for the player corporations you volunteers so they didn’t get bad CEOs and they still don’t learn anything
I am the OP, and I said nothing about my kills or lack of kills. If you would like to look at my killboard by all means you will see that I mostly fly T1 Frigates… so please choose your words wisely next time because this time it made you look stupid.
