Hi everyone. I’m someone who enjoys PvE, likes big ships, and loves playing games with a pet (drone) system. Therefore, a Carrier would be perfect for me. My goal was to complete L5 missions with my Carrier and continue with my life. However, I recently learned that Carriers can’t participate in most L5 missions… This has put me in a difficult position. I have no idea what to do now. I would be very grateful if anyone could help me with what I should do.
I want to play this game with a carrier (I have Kronos and I can easily earn 500M daily). I say this to emphasize that money isn’t an issue.
I’m a solo player; I don’t have the qualifications to join a group or community, nor do I want to.
I don’t want to do PvP. The PvP logic of this game goes against my values, so I will never be the first to attack.
Risks aren’t important to me; I just want to do PvE with a carrier. I would appreciate any information you can give me about what I can do.
Since when can carriers not run L5 missions? They were the Go-To-Ship for L5s in the past.
However, even if you can run them with carriers, they are all in low sec and the systems they are in are usually watched and camped to get these carriers killed.
Carriers can be used in L5 missions, yes, and they are quite dangerous. However, most L5 missions involve Acceleration Gates. This prevents me from using carriers in 80% of the missions.
Assigning fighters to an alt does not bypass acceleration gate restrictions. Fighters cannot enter a different mission pocket because they cannot use acceleration gates, warp independently, or cross grid boundaries. If the carrier cannot enter the pocket, the fighters cannot either.
If you want to do Carrier PvE, you could do that in Nullsec or Wormholes. The Anomalies there don’t have Gates.
In Lowsec you’d get tackled and hotdropped pretty fast anyway, I highly doubt any Carrier used for L5s there will even pay for itself. Well, unless you are part of one of the big bluetrain groups that hotdrop everyone else… but you said you like solo play and don’t want to be part of a group. So yeah, no realistic chance for you to do L5s in a carrier.
